The many disciples within the Profound Residence suddenly saw the giant tree at its very highest level bloom with golden radiance. Its trunk swelled without cease, while its luxuriant branches and leaves spread and extended outward with it. In but a few moments, they seemed to have reached the very end of the sky.
A handful of cultivators in the Profound Residence, such as Xiang Chun, Chen Song, and Cui Yue, could see that the canopy had nearly enveloped the entire territory of Eastern Court Prefecture, including the stretch of Peace Mountain occupied by the prefecture, as well as the western seas and their many islands.
Though the canopy was immense, after covering the entire prefecture, it swiftly became faint and indistinct, merging into the clouds without affecting the light of heaven or the scenery in the slightest.
At the same time, a vigorous vitality that moistened the heart spread to every person in the prefecture.
Many people discovered in amazement that old scars, wounds, birthmarks, and the like were vanishing from their bodies one after another, replaced by smooth and lustrous skin. Some elders saw their white hair turn black and their thinning locks become thick once more; their bones and sinews grew firm and robust anew. Some even found new teeth growing in their mouths.
As for some natives who had only just entered the prefecture, faced with these godlike miracles, they fell to their knees on the spot and worshipped the sky without end.
All the disciples in the Profound Residence sat down as if blessed with sudden understanding and entered meditation.
