Background

Gong Buyu was born after the Heaven-Earth Severance as the legitimate daughter of Gong Buhuo, a True Lord of Rongcheng Great Jade Heaven. She displayed extraordinary cultivation talent at five and was regarded as a future leading prodigy of the grotto-heaven. Her father instead taught her the Cloudmist Breathing Method and intended for her to eventually return to the vanished Falling Cloud Sect. 160

At nine, Gong Buhuo sealed her in Immemorial Profound Ice, a Lunar Cold Palace treasure normally reserved for founder-level figures. He hoped she would survive until the main sect resurfaced.
