"Master, there is something this disciple does not understand."
Wu Chu glanced at him. "You still can't figure that out? The two of them approached you first, so you would bring the news back to me. When they come again, they can easily infer whether I am willing to help them from whether or not I agree to see them."
After a pause, he added, "Though this sort of test was probably Jieyin's handiwork. If it were that fellow Zhunti, he likely would not have used such a roundabout method."
Hearing this, Huanglong let out a soft breath. For some reason, annoyance welled up inside him. He felt as though he had become a pawn of Jieyin and Zhunti, used by them.
In truth, he had not realized it before. Only when his master mentioned that it had merely been a test did he vaguely understand that he had been used as a chess piece.

"What this disciple wishes to ask is not that. What I do not understand is, since Master holds prejudices against those two martial uncles..."
"What prejudice could I possibly have against them? Nonsense."

Huanglong was somewhat speechless, but he did not continue exposing his master's thoughts. Instead, he asked, "Since Master does not like them, why did you give the Grandmist Purple Qi to them back then? They are merely Grandmaster's nominal disciples. How could they compare to Master?"
At the thought of this, sorrow rose involuntarily within Wu Chu. This was entirely the tragic tale of direct disciples being inferior to nominal disciples.
Yet naturally, he could not mention the reason to outsiders, lest that fellow Red Cloud feel guilty toward him. For an honest man, this was even harder to accept than being hurt.
