History
Soul Hall’s documented activities begin with Guardians operating across smaller Northwestern states. Its agents relied on the organization’s reputation to intimidate opponents, while local branches maintained Guardians, Protectors, Soul Envoys, and life plaques to monitor losses 10 11 13.
Its conflict with Xie Tianxiao began after Guardian Shou was devoured. The Soul-Burial Ravine branch investigated the unidentified “Devouring Owl,” only for its Venerable Elder, Protectors, and branch hall to be defeated. Xie Tianxiao’s system benefited from devouring qualifying Soul Hall soul bodies, turning the organization’s personnel and later its Soul Origins into resources for his growth 13 15 17.
The destruction of Nether City and the death of Demon Rain Heavenly Venerate escalated the matter beyond the Northwest. Soul Hall’s Great Heavenly Venerate ordered an investigation, but instructed Gu You and Shuo Wu not to provoke a confirmed Dou Sheng without necessity 131 132. Their later confrontation with Xie Tianxiao at Burning Flame Valley drew in the Deputy Hall Master, whose attempt to capture him ended in a prolonged Saint-level battle and strategic withdrawal 141 142 143 144.
Soul Hall later publicly pursued the Devouring Owl Saint, but most independent experts avoided the bounty due to his strength 189. The conflict developed into open warfare after the Hall attacked Sacred Palace forces. Xie Tianxiao destroyed numerous Venerables, Protectors, and Heavenly Venerates, while the Deputy Hall Master was defeated during their rematch 210 211 212. By the time of the Human Hall raid, surviving Soul Hall members identified Xie as the killer of their Hall Master 235.
