Background

Xie Tianxiao was a man from Earth who transmigrated into the Battle Qi Continent and inherited the body of Xie Xiao, along with its memories and Half-Saint cultivation. The previous owner was an independent cultivation fanatic who never founded a faction, amassed substantial resources, and acquired the Yin-Yang Twin Flame and half a drop of Dou Saint blood essence before his death. 1 2

Possessing knowledge of the original story, Xie Tianxiao resolves to pursue the legendary Dou Emperor realm. He avoids needlessly provoking major clans and refuses to rely on Xiao Yan’s future rise for protection or advancement. 1 2

His dormant system later identifies Soul Hall members as “special lifeforms.” The Devouring System can strengthen his soul power and physical cultivation by consuming such lifeforms and spiritual treasures of heaven and earth, including Heavenly Flames. 13 17

Xie Tianxiao is confident, calculating, and highly conscious of the cultivation world’s power hierarchy. He readily claims resources from weaker cultivators, but distinguishes between those who provoke him and those who do not; he spared the Barbarian Emperor and the black-robed elder after they compensated him, stating that he had no reason to kill people who had not offended him. 12

He is ambitious enough to seek transcendence beyond the Dou Saint realm, yet patient in pursuing long-term gains. His plans include recruiting unusual talents such as Yao Chen, Xiao Yixian, Qing Lin, and Medusa Queen for a future faction. 26 37 42 49

Xie Tianxiao first tests his spatial power in the Heavenshade Mountains and encounters Feng Jing’s Moon-Sealing Sect group while investigating a newly discovered cave estate. He waits for the competing factions to exhaust themselves before intervening. 3 5

He humiliates Hunting Guardian, saves several Battle Kings and rogue cultivators from stronger enemies, then demands their storage rings as payment and orders them to abandon the cave estate’s inheritance. He subsequently claims its resources for himself. 11 12 13

Soul Hall Retaliation

After his system detects a Soul Hall member as a devourable special lifeform, Xie Tianxiao confronts the Soul Hall’s local forces. He defeats a peak four-star Dou Zun Venerable Elder, destroys a Soul Branch Hall, captures Elder Zun’s soul, and takes the vice hall master prisoner. 13 15 16

Wutan City and Yao Chen

Xie Tianxiao travels to the Jia Ma Empire, seizes Gu He’s storage ring, and visits the Xiao Clan to investigate Xiao Yan’s declining Dou Qi. He uses a Heavenly Flame to purify Seven Illusory Azure Spirit Saliva, restoring Yao Chen’s soul power and accelerating Yao Chen’s awakening. 20 22 24

He later pressures Yao Chen into serving him and refining pills for his eventual faction, while leaving Yao Chen time to guide Xiao Yan. 25 26

Ya Fei Encounter

At the Miter Auction House, Xie Tianxiao presents a fourth-grade Gathering Qi Powder and meets Ya Fei. He uses the pill to raise her cultivation to two-star Dou Practitioner, expresses interest in her, and encourages her to develop her business talent rather than offering him a VIP card. 28 30 31

Xiao Yixian and the Woeful Poison Body

In Qingshan Town, Xie Tianxiao kills Mu Xue of the Wolf Head Mercenary Group before meeting Xiao Yixian at Ten Thousand Medicine Hall. He reveals that she cannot become an alchemist due to her constitution, identifies her as a possessor of the Woeful Poison Body, and explains the danger of its uncontrolled poison accumulation. 34 35 36

He proposes condensing her toxins into a poison pill using three Heavenly Flames, a seventh-tier Heavenly Poison Scorpion Dragon Beast magic core, and Bodhi Body-Transforming Saliva. Although Xiao Yixian refuses to join his future faction, he still intends to gather the materials. 37 38 39

Qing Lin and the Green Lotus Core Flame

Xie Tianxiao finds Qing Lin in Stone Desert City because of her Blue-Snake Three-Flower Eyes, then takes her into his service. He hires the Desert Iron Mercenary Corps to locate the Green Lotus Core Flame and teaches Qing Lin about cultivation and spatial power. 40 42 45

After Qing Lin tames the Flame Spirit Snake, Xie Tianxiao descends into the magma cavern and begins devouring the Green Lotus Core Flame. The process lasts forty-nine days and results in his advancement to High-Level Half-Saint. 46 49

Medusa Queen

Medusa Queen attacks Xie Tianxiao after sensing the Green Lotus Core Flame, but cannot harm him. He subdues her, exposes her plan to evolve into a Seven-Colored Heaven-Swallowing Python, and offers to assist her evolution in exchange for her future service. 47 48 49
