When Xie Tianxiao arrived to trade a fourth-tier Gathering Qi Powder, Gu Ni brought Ya Fei to personally handle the transaction rather than risk offending an unknown figure capable of producing such a pill. 28 Their meeting tested the persona Ya Fei used in her work: she initially approached him with practiced seduction, but firmly rejected his crude proposal and made clear that she was not someone who would accept every request. 29
