In the cave, Xiao Yun coiled his body and quietly watched two young humans, a man and a woman, walk in. Both had decent looks—perhaps one percent of Ye Dadao's handsome face—and exuded powerful auras. Clearly, they were cultivators.
That made sense. This was the famed Demon Beast Forest nearby; anyone who was not a cultivator would not dare set foot here.
"Eh, a little snake has actually just been born." The cousin wore a green robe and carried a sword. When he saw Xiao Yun, his eyes immediately lit up.
The young girl beside him was his cousin. She was tall and slender, her dress fluttering around her, her narrow waist supple, her legs round and straight. She seemed lively and youthful.
"Cousin, it doesn't seem afraid of us, and it hasn't attacked us either. Could it be a foolish snake?" His cousin stared at Xiao Yun for a while and asked doubtfully.
Her cousin's expression turned solemn instead. Staring at Xiao Yun, he said in a deep voice, "Cousin, you've misjudged it. This little snake seems quite intelligent. It's rather unusual."
Xiao Yun quietly watched them. Faced with these two cultivators, he was merely a newly born little snake and naturally had no power to resist. If he died, then he died. He could simply reincarnate again; he did not care.
"Interesting. Cousin, this little snake really does seem intelligent. It's observing us too. Why don't we bring it back and make it a spirit beast?" the cousin suddenly said.
Her cousin frowned. "The Black-Scaled Snake's rank is fairly good, but it has only just been born. It's too useless for us. By the time it grows up, you and I will probably already be renowned experts."
"If you don't want it, I do. I feel that it
