Background

Xiao Yun arrived in the Nine Heavens Continent sixteen years before entering the Chaos Holy Land. Born to a noble clan in a small kingdom, he spent those years unable to complete the Epiphany System's requirement to enter the holy land. 1

During the entrance examination, he used an enlightenment opportunity to resonate with the Chaos Bell. Although Saints and elders perceived him as physically ordinary, the bell rang nine times, cleansing his meridians and marrow and elevating him to Divine Son. 2 3 4

When Di Tian offered to teach him the dangerous Chaos Scripture, Xiao Yun chose it for its potential to forge the invincible Chaos Body. He then relinquished his Divine Son position to complete a system mission and gain ten enlightenment opportunities, becoming Di Tian's disciple at Imperial Peak instead. 5 6
