Although Jiao Peng was not large, his gaze was cold, decisive and overbearing. He drew his precious bow with all his strength until it formed a full moon. A cold, gleaming iron arrow rested on the string, aimed at the three fledglings. Whoosh!
A streak of cold light shot out with a mournful howl. The fierce wind wailed like ghosts crying as it lunged toward Purple Cloud. He had singled out this fledgling because it looked the most extraordinary—its entire body was violet-gold, glittering brilliantly. He wanted to wound it, then capture it.
With a clang, Little Dot leaped forward. His snow-white little hand actually struck the iron arrow, knocking it flying. Everyone was startled. This little fellow was incredibly fast—he had leaped through the air and intercepted such a fierce, heavy arrow.
"Why are you so vicious? Why do you want to hurt Purple Cloud and the others?" Little Shi Hao asked angrily, his eyes round with fury.
"Move aside!" Jiao Peng barked. His brows stood on end and his gaze was sharp as blades. He aimed an iron arrow at Little Dot, a cold smile on his face.
He was tyrannical and domineering, making Er Meng, Little Monkey, Snotty, and the others furious. They had never seen anyone so unreasonable. The three fledglings had been raised by the villagers, yet he wanted to shoot them down and seize them!
"Do you have any sense of reason?" Shi Big Strong roared, grabbing a thousand-jin bronze cauldron and preparing to charge forward.
"Big Strong, stand back!" Little Dot said, because he knew that aside from himself, no one could stand against Jiao Peng.
"If you do not retreat, don't blame my iron arrows for showing no mercy!" Jiao Peng said coldly. Such an expression did not suit his age.
"Roc, Purple Cloud, go back." Little Shi Hao told the three fledglings to withdraw first, afraid they would be hurt here. He stood at the very front.
"Not one of them is leaving. These three vicious birds are all my prey!" Jiao Peng said coldly, drawing his bow and nocking an arrow again. He aimed ahead, the arrowhead's cold gleam biting at the skin as killing intent filled the air.
Whoosh... Wind howled. On the other side, Zi Shan Kun and Lei Mingyuan also moved, afraid of falling behind Jiao Peng. Holding precious bows and iron arrows, they rushed toward the three fledglings to hunt them.
Roc, Little Green, and Purple Cloud were all highly intelligent. Other than being unable to speak, their wisdom was no less than that of humans. They had long understood what was about to happen, and all were deeply enraged.
Little Dot leaped up and blocked the two of them. In his childish voice, he said, "They are my companions. You cannot hurt them!"
At this moment, Shi Linhu and the others had all been alarmed. A group of people rushed over together, each of them brimming with anger. They had initially regarded these people as guests, never expecting them to be so overbearing and bully others.
"This is not very good, is it?" the old man from Cloud Heaven Palace spoke again, trying to mediate.
"It is only a few children throwing tantrums. Let them have a contest and see who is the number one genius. It is nothing serious," someone said, trying to smooth things over. They wanted to seize Stone Village's lion-like beast precious bone, but had no excuse, so they hoped the matter would grow bigger.
As for Jiao Cang of Luofu Great Marsh, he remained cold and indifferent, showing no reaction and making no move to stop Jiao Peng. The Purple Mountain Clan and Thunder Clan also said nothing. They watched coldly, allowing the children of their clans to act as they waited quietly for the outcome.
"Fine. Since this is a matter between children, we shall simply watch and not interfere," the old man from Cloud Heaven Palace said with a nod, speaking no further.
Though Shi Linhu and the others were furious, they saw Little Dot wave his hand and forcibly suppressed their anger. They understood that the situation before them was perilous; these people were all terrifying.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Jiao Peng suddenly drew his bow and fired a barrage of linked arrows, one after another. Cold light stabbed the eyes, fierce winds howled, and the iron arrows flew toward the three fledglings, each one vicious and deadly.
Little Dot moved swiftly to intercept them, but Jiao Peng was not the only one attacking. Zi Shan Kun and Lei Mingyuan were also making their moves, and he had to guard against them as well. Moreover, Jiao Peng had fired too many arrows for him to block them all.
Clang!
For a moment, sparks flew everywhere. Iron arrows struck the bodies of the three fledglings, producing ringing metallic clangs as though metal were striking metal. Their force was immense!
Roc cried out and beat its wings hard against the iron arrows. Though its tough scales protected it, it was still wounded. Blood flowed, and several azure scales fell away. Clang! Clang!
The other two fledglings were also struck by arrows. Little Green let out a mournful cry as blood sprayed into the air.
Jiao Peng's strength was enormous. Though he was only a little over five years old, a swing of his arms carried several thousand jin of force. The piercing power of his iron arrows was astonishing!
Though the three fledglings were extraordinary and had been learning Bone Script from Shi Hao, they had only been born for around three months and were far too young to use precious techniques. Their scaled armor was also far less defensive than that of an adult Azure-Scaled Eagle. Apart from Purple Cloud, both Roc and Little Green were wounded, losing several scales as blood splashed forth.
Little Dot was utterly enraged. He flew over and used his own body to shield the three fledglings, glaring at Jiao Peng.
"Get lost!" Jiao Peng was arrogant and wild, his gaze icy. He aimed an iron arrow at Shi Hao, drawing the bow to its full extent and pointing it straight at his throat.
The villagers were furious. The three fledglings had grown up in Stone Village and had long become members of it. Yet someone had actually come into their village to hunt them, openly trying to snatch them away. This was bullying beyond all measure.
"Don't force me!" For Little Dot to say such words showed just how fiercely his anger burned.
"And what if I do?" Jiao Peng provoked him. He had been defeated in their earlier physical clash, which had left him deeply unsettled. He had long decided to use precious techniques.
Whoosh!
A cold gleam shot forth. Jiao Peng released the bowstring, and the iron arrow lunged toward Little Dot's throat, swift and terrifying. Its mournful whistle tore through the sky.
Bang!
Little Dot's movement was simple, incredibly fast, steady, and precise. With a bang, he actually grabbed the chilling iron arrow in one hand. Then he flung it with all his strength. The cold gleam blazed as the iron arrow flew back toward Jiao Peng. At the same time, he leaped more than twenty meters, diving down like a flood dragon. Though small, his aura was astonishingly powerful.
Little Dot took the initiative and attacked Jiao Peng!
"I've been waiting for you!" Jiao Peng's fighting spirit surged. Since he had lost once, he would win it back.
He threw down his precious bow and iron arrows, moving with strength and agility like a Demon Ape. With a step, he shifted more than ten meters sideways. Then symbols flickered between his arms and swiftly lit up, making his whole body hazy as a layer of precious radiance enveloped him.
"Mountain savage, you live in the wilderness and have no idea how vast the world beyond is. Let me show you the power of Bone Script!" Jiao Peng said coldly.
Once his arms had fully lit up, he became fearless and charged toward Little Dot on his own initiative. He wanted to suppress him through absolute strength. Symbols flashed as he gained astonishing speed and divine power.
Little Dot said nothing. He pounced through the air, and at the instant they were about to collide, rosy light bloomed within his body. Divine radiance surged forth, tempering the creations of heaven and earth, and his palms and fingers immediately turned lustrous white.
Boom!
Their palms collided with a thunderous blast, as though a mountain peak had collapsed! Jiao Peng let out a pained grunt and was sent flying sideways. The web between his thumb and forefinger split completely, blood dripping everywhere, while his arm spasmed without stop.
Had the mysterious string of symbols on his arms not lit up at the critical moment, manifesting two savage flood dragons that coiled around his hands, his finger bones would have suffered a terrifying fracture.
Thud!
Jiao Peng flew more than ten meters before crashing to the ground. He rolled several more meters before finally stopping and steadying himself.
In an instant, the scene fell utterly silent. One could hear a needle drop. Everyone froze, never imagining such an outcome. They had only just exchanged blows, yet Jiao Peng had already been blasted away!
"His divine strength is astonishing!" the old man from Cloud Heaven Palace exclaimed.
At the very least, among children of this age, Little Dot's physical strength had already surpassed that of a genius like Jiao Peng by a huge margin. He could truly be called heaven-blessed!
Jiao Peng sprang to his feet with a carp flip. His face was so red it seemed ready to drip blood. This loss had been devastating; it felt as unbearable as being slapped across the face. Violent fury surged within him.
Boom!
A dull sound rang out. Little Dot kicked the thousand-jin bronze cauldron into the air, sending it flying toward Zi Shan Kun and Lei Mingyuan. While he had been fighting, those two had already drawn their bows and nocked arrows, rushing at the three fledglings.
The enormous cauldron swept through the air!
A crowd stood dumbfounded. Was this really just a village child under four years old? With one kick, he had sent a thousand-jin bronze cauldron soaring through the air. He was so wildly domineering, utterly unlike the porcelain-doll appearance he usually had.
With a rumbling crash, the bronze cauldron flew at them, fierce and heavy. Such an impact was terrifying.
A genius of this age could lift a cauldron with ease, but using one as a weapon, swinging it horizontally and smashing it vertically, was rather frightening. No one dared take it head-on.
The two geniuses dodged swiftly, terrified of being struck. Even a grazing blow would certainly break their bones and tear their tendons!
Crack!
In the end, Zi Shan Kun's precious bow was still smashed apart. The bronze cauldron had come too fiercely and swiftly, far too suddenly. Fearing that he could not evade it, he shifted sideways while using his precious bow to block it once. He himself was unharmed, but the bow snapped on the spot.
"You two, come here." Little Dot stared at them and shouted sharply. Then he looked at Jiao Peng, pointing at all three of them. "The three of you, come at me together!"
A crowd stared blankly. The experts from Purple Mountain, the Lei family, and Luofu Great Marsh were all somewhat stunned. Those were the geniuses of their clans! They had come to a wilderness village, yet they needed to join hands to fight a child who was still nursing?
If Jiao Peng, Zi Shan Kun, and Lei Mingyuan were geniuses, then what was this child under four years old?!
