Background

The Azure-Scaled Eagle nested on a cliff in a ten-meter-wide structure woven from black wutong wood. It laid three jade-green eggs, each carrying traces of its ancient demonic-bird lineage and inherited rune imprints. Stone Village children raided the nest and took all three eggs, provoking the eagle into a destructive pursuit through the forest. 8 9

While trying to recover its eggs, the eagle nearly broke into the children’s stone shelter. Stone Village drove it back by activating two ancestral artifacts, forcing it into a tense standoff with the villagers. 10 11

When the villagers returned the eggs, a branch of the Old Willow Tree transformed one egg through ancestral reversion. The Azure-Scaled Eagle recognized the exceptional egg, but instead of reclaiming its clutch, pushed all three eggs back into Stone Village. After the chicks hatched, it began regularly delivering prey for them. 12 13

It later carried Shi Hao into the mountains to contest the Suanni’s remains. The pair survived battles against numerous fierce beasts, retrieved the Suanni’s corpse and other spoils, and returned toward Stone Village with the eagle badly poisoned and wounded. 20 22 23

Stone Village and Shi Hao protected the critically injured eagle against Bei Village and a beast tide. It recovered enough to ambush Fierce Bei, severely wounding the enemy guardian spirit during the escape. 24 26 27

After recovering and cultivating with the benefits of Suanni flesh and blood, the Azure-Scaled Eagle returned with silver wings. Alarmed by the battle in the deep mountains, it accepted Shi Hao and Stone Village’s request to remain in the village. 34 48

Appearance

A gigantic eagle-like fierce bird without feathers, its body is covered in dense azure scales with the cold metallic sheen of refined iron. Its wingspan reaches roughly fifteen to sixteen meters. 9 20

Personality

Initially, the Azure-Scaled Eagle is fiercely protective of its stolen eggs and relentlessly hunts the Stone Village children. It is cautious rather than mindlessly aggressive, however, retreating when faced with the village’s ancestral artifacts and remaining wary of the Old Willow Tree. 10 11 12

It displays unusually high intelligence and parental devotion. After seeing the transformed egg, it entrusts all three chicks to Stone Village and provides them with prey. Its later conduct toward Shi Hao is notably gentle and cooperative, treating him with trust even while gravely injured. 12 13 23
