Background

Zhu Zhuqing is the second daughter of the Zhu Clan of the Star Luo Empire. Under the clan's succession rules, defeated sisters are condemned to die; her elder sister, Zhu Zhuyun, instead sent pursuers to force Zhu Zhuqing out of Star Luo territory. Zhuqing refused to accept protection or admit defeat, choosing to flee and become stronger by her own efforts. 16

At ten years old, she was cornered at the border between the Star Luo and Heaven Dou Empires by a Soul King and three Soul Ancestors. Though severely wounded, she remained armed with a dagger and prepared to fight to the death rather than return. 16

Lin Chen drove the pursuers away and healed her wounds with the Law of Life. Initially wary of his help, Zhuqing accepted his offer to take her somewhere safe after he framed the rescue as an investment in her future strength rather than pity. 16
