"A terrible exchange," The Emperor commented in the Throne Room, dressed in a loose robe.

"I think the exchange was a great success." Oedmeir stroked her chin with an amused expression. The Adeptus Custodes and Sisters of Silence had interacted far more than she had expected.

The Emperor could not understand Oedmeir's feelings, but he did not ask. Slaanesh always mocked him for being dull and slow-witted. It had been sealed away after the Horus Heresy. Now, Fulgrim was leading the surviving Emperor's Children in cleaning
