The Emperor shook his head, indicating that the Primarchs' bodies were not yet strong enough to bear the Warp essences gathered together.
The Primarchs wanted to say more, but the Emperor stopped them with a look. The God-Emperor had been beaten bloody by Horus. If no one stepped in to help, they would suffer a crushing defeat, just as they had at the final stage of the Battle of Terra.
Helpless, the Primarchs could only guide the Warp power within their bodies into the Emperor.
As the strongest psyker apart from the God-Emperor, the Emperor used his psychic power to control strands of Warp essence, keeping them around his soul so they would not devour or clash with one another.
After gathering so many powers, the Emperor turned his gaze upon Roboute Guilliman, because he alone had not provided any Warp essence.
Angron was far away, so there was no point expecting anything from him. But Guilliman was right in front of them and still refused to help, which was rather hard to justify.
Guilliman's face turned pale, then red, then pale again.
"I... I truly don't have any Warp essence..."
"You do, Guilliman! We all have it, so you definitely have it too! Stop agonizing over it! This is a critical moment of life and death!" Perturabo roared. If Rogal Dorn had not been holding him back, he would have thrown a punch long ago.
Guilliman furrowed his brow. Several seconds passed without any reaction. His face turned ashen as he lowered his head. "I really don't have any. Stop talking about it."
Leman Russ and Lion El'Jonson stepped forward, filling Guilliman's entire field of vision and drowning out his ears with their roars.
"Listen, Guilliman! You missed the Battle of Terra, and we didn't say much about it.
