Nearl did not fear death, nor did she glorify sacrifice. She had always stood firmly beside the weak and her comrades, willing to do everything in her power to protect them.

There was no need for the Doctor to tell her what to do. Nearl had already made her decision. She looked at the Octagram Originium Slug radiating an evil glow and tightened her grip on her sword-lance.

This thing had to be destroyed. Its very existence was an endless desecration of Terra's land, so full of suffering.

Thinking this, Nearl turned to the panting, pale-faced Texas and spoke softly to her taciturn comrade.

"If anything happens to me, please tell the Doctor to take good care of my sister."

Before Texas could react to such a request, Nearl gritted her teeth and charged forward in great strides, her attack aimed directly at the Octagram Originium Slug suspended in midair.

The Originium Slug showed no panic at the enemy rushing toward it. It remained in Nearl's path like an efficient killing machine, shifting forms as it did so.

The crimson spikes were terrifying to behold. Nearl tore open a narrow gap with her sword-lance and kept running. Her trench coat, which offered no protection whatsoever in the eyes of the two Primarchs, was slashed by the spikes, and the wounds bled profusely as if no platelets were clotting them.

A swift purple-pink Originium Slug darted in and struck Nearl's legs, making her stagger and nearly fall.

Other Originium Slugs turned green and slowly closed in on Nearl, thick and sluggish, seeking to defile the brilliantly radiant Knight.

Nearl exhaled, her eyes filled with nothing but resolve and battle intent. She cried out and slammed her sword-lance into the ground.

"Fear No Darkness!"

A blazing white shockwave blasted away the Originium
