The clash of weapons rang out, jolting Yan Ou from his despair. He focused his eyes and saw a Kroot using his crude hunting rifle to block the metal skeleton's fierce assault.

The Kroot let out a savage cry. Though he wore no equipment to cover his body, he still survived in such a harsh combat environment.
The metal skeleton fought against the Kroot continuously rushing out of the darkness. Its claws and vibrating blades could not affect these powerful beasts.
Yan Ou had wanted to thank them for saving his life, but he was more curious about why the Kroot were unaffected by the intense radiation and high-frequency sound.

A Kroot captain blocked the skeleton's attack with the weapon in his hands. Their weapons were integrated with blades, but they looked extremely crude.
Powerful muscles granted the Kroot remarkable strength, allowing him to withstand the skeleton's fierce attacks for a time.
More Kroot fired their hunting rifles into the skeleton's back, punching solid rounds through its armor and deep into its body.
The violent impacts made the skeleton stagger. Bullets embedded in its structure made its movements sluggish. In the end, after cutting down four or five Kroot, its body was severed.
Even without a head, with only half its body and one claw remaining, the skeleton still struggled violently. The Kroot dismantled it completely into parts.
"Engine oil! Blech! Meat inedible!"
The Kroot looked disgusted. He patted Yan Ou on the shoulder, indicating that they would not eat the corpses of T'au.
After all, they had an agreement. The Kroot were grateful that the T'au had offered them aid during the Orks' attack. In return, they had joined the T'au Empire and removed T'au from their diet.
