"For the great God-Emperor, destroy the traitors!"
A believer from the Pilgrimage Crusade watched the Imperium soldiers' defensive line collapse step by step. He tore off his clothes and threw them to the ground, grabbed a bulky Meltabomb placed beside him, pulled its fuse, and roared as he charged at the advancing Defense Force soldiers.
The Defense Force soldiers, constantly alert to their surroundings, saw a fanatic clutching a bomb and shouting as he charged toward them and their comrades. It was obvious that he intended to take them down with him.
The Defense Force soldiers quickly raised their guns and pulled the triggers at the charging zealot. A massive bloody hole was easily blasted through the zealot's chest, and he fell unwillingly to the ground mid-charge.
After the zealot died, the Meltabomb that had fallen to the ground exploded. With a deafening boom, it destroyed every building and piece of cover within several meters.
Another Imperium soldier hiding behind cover stared blankly as his cover was destroyed by his own ally. He had barely raised his weapon at the Defense Force soldiers when their guns fired first, killing him.
The battle grew ever more intense. Large numbers of the Emperor's zealots launched suicidal charges with all kinds of powerful bombs. Even when they failed to kill the advancing Defense Force soldiers, they slowed the Defense Force's advance.
Faced with these zealots launching death charges, the Defense Force soldiers had no choice but to remain on utmost alert, lest a moment's carelessness cost them their lives for nothing.
A zealot carrying a Meltabomb silently and cautiously approached an advancing Defense Force squad. Once he came within less than a meter of the soldiers, he pulled the Meltabomb's fuse and rushed toward them.
"For the great God-Emperor!"
A huge boom erupted.
