Iron Bull closed his eyes in contentment, savoring the Greenskins' cheers and praise. This is the treatment a powerful boss should enjoy.
Only after the Orks' cheers gradually died down did Iron Bull open his eyes and look at the Greenskin bosses around him.
"This time, we'z gonna smash through the humies' defenses, so all of you gotta listen to my commands. Any of you got a problem with dat?"
As Iron Bull spoke, he raised his left hand. A massive Power Claw was mounted on it, with a large-caliber flamer above it and a gigantic Boltgun below it. The Power Claw let out loud clacking sounds as he flexed its fingers.
Hearing Iron Bull's words, the Greenskin bosses turned to look at the companions beside them, wanting to see which Greenskin warrior would oppose him.
To the bosses' great disappointment, not a single Greenskin boss voiced any objection. They all behaved very obediently.
Iron Bull had expected this. Every Greenskin boss who came here had been convinced by his overwhelming strength. Those unwilling to obey his orders had all been killed by Iron Bull personally.
"Since none of ya objects to me leading ya into battle, I'z made a perfect battle plan this time. I'z gatherin' all da Killa Kans and Dirty Tanks, and da Killa Kans and Dirty Tanks will charge at da front.
"Da Killa Kans and Dirty Tanks got very strong armor. They can block da humies' attacks, and their boom cannons can fire at da humies without da boyz charging in front blocking their view.
"Dat gives us a powerful firepower advantage. We can suppress da humies' boom cannons, then smash through their defenses easy."
Iron Bull enthusiastically introduced the plan he had devised to the Greenskin bosses. This time, they would definitely break through the humies' defenses and have the most brutal fight possible with these well-equipped humies.
"WAAAAAAHG! Boss Iron Bull is da strongest and most powerful!"
Blood Axe raised his huge axe and shouted in celebration. He could not be bothered to think for himself. As long as the boss gave him endless battles to fight, that was enough.
"WAAAAAAHG!"
The other Greenskin bosses also raised their voices in cheers alongside Blood Axe.
Seeing the high morale of all the Orks, Iron Bull waved his hand and said:
"Move out! Attack da humies!"
"Rumble, rumble, rumble!"
A large number of Killa Kans and Dirty Tanks started their engines. Under the Orks' control, they roared deafeningly as they drove toward Art Student's base.
Restrained by their bosses, the Ork boyz followed behind these war machines. The footsteps of the massive Ork horde pounding against the ground were even louder than the engines of the war machines.
The moment the Orks set out, the base had already detected their movements.
Anrida warned over the communications channel, "The Ork army will arrive soon. Everyone, prepare for battle."
"Yes."
The soldiers who had long been defending against the Orks in the trenches immediately made their preparations.
The base had been constantly attacked by small Ork forces these past few days. All the soldiers had become accustomed to fighting Orks, and none of them still felt the nervousness they had during their first battle against them.
"I heard there are more Orks attacking this time than there are people in our entire base. How long will it take to kill them all?"
While waiting idly, one soldier curiously asked the teammate beside him.
"I don't know how long it'll take to kill every attacking Ork, but I do know there can't be more Orks than we have ammunition. Wiping them out is only a matter of time."
His teammate replied with a smile.
"That's true. The ammunition in our base is endless. No matter how many Orks there are, we'll kill every last one of them."
The soldier who had spoken first nodded firmly.
"With so many Orks attacking us this time, the Space Marines will definitely be deployed. Then we'll get to see just how powerful they are.
"It's a shame my genetic compatibility wasn't high enough during the Space Marine selection. I couldn't join them. It would've been great if I could've become a Space Marine."
Another Defense Force soldier spoke enviously, his eyes filled with longing.
"Sigh! Tell me about it. My genetic compatibility was sixty-eight percent. Just a little more—just a little more, and I could've joined the Space Marines too."
The first soldier spoke regretfully.
When someone brought up the Space Marines, the other soldiers who had been relatively quiet joined the discussion as well. They all talked about how they had been only one step away from becoming Space Marines, sounding incomparably regretful.
After witnessing the Space Marines' formidable physiques, everyone wanted to become one. However, the primary requirement for Space Marine selection was not strong willpower or other such qualities.
It was genetic compatibility screening. Only those whose genetic compatibility exceeded seventy percent had a chance to become Space Marines. Anyone below that standard would be eliminated, no matter how well they performed in regular training.
"Boom, boom!"
While the frontline soldiers were still chatting, the artillery in the rear had already begun fighting. Large numbers of howitzer shells and siege shells were fired at the Greenskins, and every shell killed many Orks.
"The Orks are coming! Prepare for battle!"
The company commander shouted over the communications channel.
"Yes."
The soldiers dropped into the trenches, raised their Ripper Rifles, and aimed toward the direction the Orks were approaching from, waiting only for them to enter rifle range.
"Woooooo!"
Piercing shrieks rang out over the human positions. The Orks' Killa Kans, Dirty Tanks, and artillery began attacking the Defense Force soldiers' positions as well. The shells screamed through the air toward the trenches.
"Watch out for incoming shells. Don't run around blindly."
Seeing that the Orks had deployed heavy weapons this time, the company commander hurriedly reminded the soldiers over the communications channel.
The auxiliary power armor worn by the soldiers was equipped with scanning radar. Whenever danger arose, it would alert the soldiers how to evade it, reducing casualties.
When facing artillery bombardment, the soldiers would move toward safe locations according to the data calculated by their power armor. If a shell was not going to land nearby, they would receive no warning to evade.
"Pew, pew, pew, pew!"
The anti-aircraft guns mounted on the Apocalypse Tanks opened fire, intercepting the shells launched by the Orks and reducing the number that landed within the positions.
"Boom, boom, boom!"
Large numbers of shells were struck by the rapid-firing anti-aircraft guns and detonated in midair, erupting in massive explosions.
