"Roar--!!!"

Behind him came Angron's furious roar, once again enraged by this "cowardly" behavior.

Immediately following was a terrifying tremor as the earth was stomped on by a tremendous force and rapidly approached!

Cato Sicarius pushed his speed to the limit.

The flight ability granted by the Smart Atoms was activated at this moment. He leaped up and flew at low altitude, trying to create distance.

However, he underestimated Angron's speed and explosive power, which had been temporarily enhanced by the power of the four gods.

In the time it takes to make just two heartbeats, a suffocating gust of wind and a violent spiritual pressure were already right behind me!

Cato Sicarius could even smell the strong stench of blood and sulfur emanating from the giant axe!

He whirled around, his pupils shrinking sharply— Angron's massive figure had leaped forward with incredible ferocity, arriving before him.

Ling Kong caught up to him directly behind, with the "Slaughter" giant axe wreathed in four-colored spiritual light.

With a force that could cleave the sky, it slashed down fiercely at Calgar, who was tucked under his arm!

A close call!

There's no time for thought, only instinct.

Cato Sicarius twisted his body forcefully in mid-air, lifting the shoulder carrying Malum Caedo with a sudden jerk, while simultaneously swinging the arm holding Calgar to the side with all his might!

Pfft!

The dull thud of a sharp blade piercing flesh was accompanied by the ear-piercing sound of metal and bone shattering.

An arm, clad in blue-gold Power Armour and clenched into a fist, was severed at the shoulder, spinning in the air, spraying blue blood and engine oil, before falling helplessly.

It is Cato Sicarius arm.

At the last moment, he used his own arm to take the fatal blow for Calgar.

The pain of losing his arm felt like magma seeping into his nerves, but Cato Sicarius didn't utter a single groan.

Using the force of the axe strike and the rotation of his body, he completed an extremely awkward yet effective action to dissipate the force in mid-air, landing heavily and tumbling.

When he stopped, he was kneeling on one knee, his only remaining right arm tightly wrapped around Malum Kaido.

He gripped a strap on Calgar's tattered Power Armour with his teeth, exerted his strength again, and tumbled and crawled forward!

Having lost an arm, the excruciating pain and impaired balance, coupled with the burden of carrying two people, greatly reduced his speed, causing him to stagger.

A swordsman who has lost his sword-wielding arm is like a bird with a broken wing.

He may never again be able to unleash that stunning "Golden Skyline," nor stand proudly on the battlefield.

But he kept running.

For those two heavy, faint breaths of life in his shoulder and mouth.

The shadow of death behind me, like a leech clinging to my bone, rapidly approached once more.

Angron's heavy footsteps felt like they were pounding on his heart.

Once again, a fierce wind swept over my back.

This time, Cato Sicarius did not attempt to dodge or block.

With his last ounce of strength, he hurled Malum Kaido on his shoulder and Calgar from his mouth toward a relatively intact pile of building ruins to his side!

After completing this action, he seemed to have exhausted all his strength, and his body swayed due to blood loss and excruciating pain.

He slowly turned around to face Angron, who had charged at him, raising his giant axe high.

That face, which was always etched with arrogance, was now completely calm.

He even grinned at Angron's hideous face, revealing a smile mixed with blood, yet unusually bright and even somewhat insane...

He opened his arms wide, as if welcoming someone, yet also as if mocking them.

Angron's giant axe, imbued with the corrupted glow of the four gods' power, crashed down towards Cato Sicarius's head!

Bang! Crack--!!!

A chilling sound of impact and shattering!

The powered helmet deformed and shattered under that absolute force!

The sharp edge of the axe blade sliced through the scalp and cut into the skull!

Cato Sicarius felt as if his head had been struck head-on by a battering ram, and the whole world was instantly swallowed up by boundless darkness, excruciating pain, and a buzzing sound.

His consciousness flickered like a candle in the wind, rapidly dimming.

But just before his consciousness completely sank into darkness, the axe's strike strangely stopped.

It wasn't blocked, but rather the force and method changed, transforming from a "slash" to a "slap"!

Thump!!!

A dull thud, like smashing a watermelon.

Cato Sicarius was struck hard on the head by the axe, his neck groaning under the strain, and he fell limply to the ground like a kite with a broken string.

He fell heavily to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Blood gushed from his mouth, nose, ears, and from the cracks in his shattered helmet.

His chest was still rising and falling very faintly, but his consciousness had already completely sunk into the deepest darkness.

He is still alive.

But perhaps, living is worse than dying.

Angron stood in front of him, seemingly not entirely satisfied with the outcome.

The giant axe, wreathed in four-colored spiritual light, slowly rose once more, aiming at Cato Sicarius's defenseless neck, preparing to deliver the final blow.

However, in mid-air, the axe blade was firmly and tightly grasped by a hand covered in blue-gold Power Armour that suddenly reached out from the side.

That hand was no bigger Angron's giant hand; in fact, it appeared "slender."

However, the power contained within it prevented the "Slaughtering" giant axe, which was entangled with the power of the four gods, from moving downwards even an inch!

The smoke and dust slowly dissipated.

A figure had silently appeared between Cato Sicarius and Angron, without anyone noticing.

He was clad in blue and gold armor, and his scarlet cloak billowed behind him, fluttering and rustling even without wind due to the surge of energy.

He wasn't wearing a helmet; beneath his short black hair was a face as cold as ice, contorted with extreme rage.

Those eyes, as blue as the Ultramar Ocean, no longer held tolerance or wisdom.

All that remained was burning rage and chilling killing intent as he stared intently at his familiar yet strange, depraved and twisted brother.

His voice wasn't loud, yet it seemed to carry the weight of thunder, each word making the surrounding air freeze:

"What about my sons..."

"... What did you do?!"
