The Sanguinor
That warm voice was choked with sobs, and it seemed as if glistening liquids were falling from the golden light.
It was a condensation of Psionic Energy, the final mark of Sanguinius left in the world, containing sorrow and compassion.
The light suddenly became incredibly intense, completely engulfing the body.
The crisp sound of bones growing, the subtle rustling of flesh being reshaped, and a heart-stirring resonance emanating from the complete fusion of the soul with a higher level of existence.
It emanated from the ball of light. As the light faded, the figure within was revealed.
Those were no longer the fallen soldiers they once were.
His (or "it") size became unusually tall, approaching that of a warrior wearing Terminator Armour, but more slender and perfect.
Its entire body was covered in flowing golden energy, forming an outline resembling armor and muscles, with a pair of broad wings that were burning fiercely behind it, made of pure golden Psionic Energy flames.
Its face was blurred in the light, only a pair of eyes burning with golden flames, filled with endless compassion and determination. In its hand it held a greatsword also made of golden flames.
Eternally burning wings carried him away from the desolate mortal realm.
It no longer possesses the memories and personality of its former life, only the purest instinct remains: to protect the Blood Angels and destroy the swarm.
It is the embodiment of Sanguinius ' final blessing and protective will for his offspring, and the supreme being that may descend upon the race in the legend of the Blood Angels whenever it faces annihilation.
It is the Sanguinor —the burning angel, a miracle on earth, a golden hope in despair.
"The Sanguinor" slowly raised its head, its burning golden eyes sweeping across the bloody battlefield, finally settling on the direction of the densest and most threatening swarm of insects in the distance.
Its wings flapped suddenly, creating a gust of wind mixed with Psionic Energy heat and divine aura. Its entire body transformed into a dazzling golden meteor, rushing towards the swarm of insects!
"That... that is...?!"
"Father! It's Father's scent!"
"The Sanguinor! The legendary the Sanguinor has arrived!"
"May the Emperor protect us! The Archangels have not abandoned us!"
All the Blood Angels witnessed this scene, whether they were mired in Black Rage, struggling to hold on, or on the verge of collapse.
At that moment, the depths of my soul were shaken and ignited by that golden light.
A warrior who had been driven by Black Rage and hacking wildly suddenly stopped.
He looked up at the golden streak that had streaked past, the bloodshot in his eyes fading, replaced by scalding tears and a rekindled belief.
"It's Father... He's come... He's never forgotten us... Never!"
He shouted hoarsely, his voice choked with emotion.
He was no longer angry; at this moment, he only wanted to follow the other person to their death.
"The legend of the Sanguinor Chapter is true!"
Dante's voice resounded across the battlefield through the loudspeakers, sweeping away his fatigue and filling him with excitement and ecstasy:
"Brothers! Do you see that?! The Emperor's favor has descended! Holy angels have come to earth!"
This will be Baal's victory! The victory of the Blood Angels! The victory of humanity's undying faith! For Sanguinius! For the Emperor! Fight to the death!
"Fight to the death!!"
The battle roar, as powerful as a mountain collapsing and as turbulent as the sea, rang out once more, higher and more hopeful than ever before.
Wherever the golden meteor passed, the swarms of insects turned to ashes like ice and snow meeting the blazing sun.
With each swing of the flaming greatsword, a large area was cleared away. Neither low-level Hormagaunt Termagant nor powerful Tyranid Warrior could withstand its sacred purifying power.
The morale of the Blood Angels was pushed to its peak. Following the golden trajectory, they launched a near-frenzied counterattack, and for a time, they actually suppressed the insect swarm's offensive.
Dante laughed heartily, as if the burden of fifteen hundred years had been lifted in that instant. With the Sanguinor, perhaps they really could hold out!
A miracle really happened!
However, the Hive Mind was determined to take Baal. It sensed the threat posed by this suddenly appearing, high-energy reactive unit.
The earth began to tremble.
It wasn't an explosion, nor was it trampling; rather, it was a roar triggered by a deeper, more massive movement of mass, as if the planet itself were groaning.
In the distance, on the horizon covered by the fungal carpet, several enormous shadows, like moving mountains, slowly rose and advanced toward the center of the battlefield.
They have a ferocious appearance that is a mixture of insects and monsters, and they are generally over twenty meters tall. Huge biological turrets, awe-inspiring giant claws, and bone spikes grow on their thick chitinous shells.
With each step taken, the ground trembled, and the fungal carpet rippled with pain.
Tyranids, a Titans- class unit of the Hive Fleet, is the ultimate combination of biomass and the will to destroy, a living Scourge on the battlefield.
And there was more than one!
The Sanguinor —the Burning Angel—immediately sensed this greatest threat.
Without the slightest hesitation, its burning golden eyes locked onto the first Insect Saint to step onto the battlefield, and with a flap of its wings, it charged forward at an even greater speed!
The golden flames collided with the thick chitinous carapace, unleashing a blinding light and a deafening impact.
The angel's flaming greatsword slashed fiercely at the Insect Saint's limbs, leaving deep, burning wounds;
The Insect Saint's giant pincers and biological acid cannons also launched a frantic counterattack, but most of the attacks were evaded or blocked by the angel's agile figure and its seemingly illusory yet incredibly tough golden energy body.
The Sanguinor displayed astonishing combat skills and strength, actually gaining the upper hand in a one-on-one duel with a Sacred Insect!
Golden sword light crisscrossed, constantly weakening the Insect Saint's defenses, peeling off and burning large swaths of its chitinous carapace.
