If You Believe Sincerely, I Shall Answer Your Call
"Run! Everyone run!"
With all his might, the prophet let out a piercing roar that echoed throughout the entire battlefield:
"Another war god is about to appear!"
This place is about to become a living hell. If we don't escape now, everyone will die without a burial place!
He screamed frantically, trying to get the remaining members of the Eldar to escape this deadly place. It was the only thing he could do, the only hope he could preserve for the last spark of life in the Craftworlds.
The only response he received was the frenzied cheers of the Eldar.
Those surviving Eldar, watching the God of War Kaine slaughtering indiscriminately and witnessing his world-destroying power, felt their arrogance and fanaticism reach their peak.
They completely ignored the prophet's advice, instead surrounding the battlefield, cheering wildly, praising the power of the God of War, and celebrating the glory of the Eldar.
In fact, many Eldar, with fanatical smiles on their faces, took up arms and ended their own lives in order to make Kaine stronger and to completely eliminate the human enemy.
Their souls, too, transformed into streams of light, flowing into Kaine's body and becoming part of the God of War's power.
In their eyes, the God of War Kaine, was invincible, and the glory of the Eldar was inviolable. Humans, mere mortals, had no chance of turning the tide, and the so-called other God of War was nothing but nonsense.
They were arrogant to the extreme, blinded to the extreme, and even with death close at hand, they still refused to relinquish the arrogance etched into their bones.
The prophet, witnessing this scene, was utterly despairing.
He collapsed to the ground, his eyes filled with sorrow and regret. At that moment, he finally understood.
The Eldar's current tragedies have never stemmed from the strength of their enemies, but from their own arrogance.
It is this deep-seated arrogance that allows them to squander the power of their race and ignore all the crises in the universe.
It was this arrogance that indirectly led to the birth of Slaanesh, causing Eldar to fall from their peak and nearly become extinct.
It was this arrogance that led them to antagonize the Imperium of Man, resulting in endless retaliation and war.
It was this arrogance that led them to choose the most extreme form of sacrifice in their desperate situation, destroying their entire tribe. Even at the very end, they refused to face reality, remained blindly arrogant, and headed towards self-destruction.
It turns out they've become this arrogant.
It turns out that all their suffering was of their own making.
The prophet knelt in the yellow sand, utterly exhausted and filled with despair, tears mingling with blood streaming down his face.
He didn't want to accept this outcome.
He didn't want to see the entire Craftworlds completely destroyed, nor did he want to see the ancient Eldar race utterly annihilated in the Milky Way.
"No!!!"
A piercing roar erupted from the prophet's mouth.
His bent knees suddenly straightened.
His winding spine straightened fiercely.
In those eyes filled with despair, a blue-gold Psionic Energy light rekindled—a light born from relinquishing all arrogance and obsession, solely to protect the last hope of their people.
He no longer looked at the vague future, no longer tried to understand the unchangeable fate; he wanted to seize the present, to make one last struggle.
The prophet suddenly stood up and ran wildly through the swirling flames and dust. His Power Armour was already shattered, his clothes were soaked in blood, the yellow sand beneath his feet was scorching hot, and his wounds were throbbing with pain, but he didn't care at all. He just ran with all his might toward the Ultramarines lying in a pool of blood.
He traversed the fierce battlefield, dodged Kaine's wildly swinging sword, and avoided the flying debris, finally reaching the company commander's side.
At this moment, the company commander still lay in a pool of blood, his breath faint, but deep in his soul, the Primarch's call still echoed, and he still held on to the last bit of fighting will.
The prophet crouched down, looking at the critically wounded human warrior before him, at the armor on his body that represented human honor, and at the unyielding look in his eyes even on the verge of death. He slowly lowered his proud head.
For thousands of years, the Eldar has always regarded other races as inferior beings, always holding their heads high with arrogance, never daring to look them in the eye, let alone bow their heads to apologize.
But at this moment, the prophet set aside all Eldar pride and racial prejudice, leaving only endless repentance in his heart.
He lowered his proud head deeply to the ground covered in blood and dust, no longer caring about the dirt, no longer arrogant, only filled with the purest apology and remorse.
"Humanity, I am powerless to repent for my sins."
"I am powerless to atone for our mistakes!"
"But I still pray to you, God of War for mankind, I repent to you! I apologize to you!"
"In my final moments, I am willing to offer you my life as a token of my apology."
As soon as he finished speaking, the blue-gold Psionic Energy light in the prophet's eyes reached its peak.
That was all the Psionic Energy he possessed in his life, all the power of his soul. Its light was dazzling to the extreme, instantly devouring his physical body and completely destroying it, leaving only a pure soul filled with endless repentance, which resolutely surged into the Warp.
He exposed himself to the Warp without any hesitation, without storing his soul in the Webway, and completely opened up his consciousness and soul.
This action instantly attracted the attention of terrifying beings in the Warp.
A gigantic, filthy hand, filled with endless Pleasure and depravity, suddenly reached out from the depths of the Warp and grabbed at the prophet's soul.
It is Slaanesh.
The Aeldari Farseer's soul is inherently pure and powerful, making him an incredibly delicious meal for the Slaanesh. Moreover, the prophet is currently completely unprepared, with his soul fully exposed, making it the perfect opportunity for the Slaanesh to devour him.
"Our sins!"
"You have unreasonably seized my soul!"
"Because I have repented wholeheartedly, because I have now reached a nobility that the Eldar have never attained!"
The prophet's soul roared in the Warp, his voice firm and resolute, without the slightest fear.
Through his wholehearted repentance and dedication, golden light slowly began to emanate from his soul.
It intertwined with the original blue Psionic Energy.
It transformed into a unique blue-gold color, pure, noble, and full of devout faith.
