Find a Way to Be Loyal!
The grass juice on the sword blade was flicked away, splashing all over the face of a servant standing nearby.
The servant didn't flinch, not even blinking.
The Eldar's reaction was strange.
They didn't draw their weapons, release Psionic Energy, or even adopt a defensive posture.
They simply stood there, looking at the human nobleman holding the Chainsword with an expression akin to "looking at a rare animal."
One of the Eldar even tilted his head, a slight smile playing on his lips, revealing an "interesting" expression.
The nobleman rushed forward.
The eyes of the servants behind him were red.
It wasn't fear, but rather feeling wronged.
They wanted to charge, they wanted to be loyal to the Emperor, but the master had given the order—they were not allowed to follow.
They can only get their turn after he dies.
"Master!" a servant's voice trembled with tears, "You can't do this!"
"Shut up!" The nobleman didn't even turn his head, raising his Chainsword and slashing down at the Elven Eldar with his head tilted.
The sword blade stopped in mid-air.
It wasn't blocked, but rather pinched by that Eldar with two fingers.
The Eldar's power wasn't great, but it was enough to make the Chainsword's serrated edges spin in the air at his fingertips.
Sparks flew everywhere, and the ear-piercing metallic scraping sound made your teeth ache.
The nobleman gritted his teeth, gripped his sword with both hands, and the veins on his forehead bulged.
The Eldar looked at him, their purple eyes showing no hostility.
He loosened his grip, took a step back, and bowed slightly.
"We've come to surrender."
The Eldar's voice was soft, but every word was as clear as if it were etched on glass:
"The King of the Gods, Asuryan, has returned. We wish to stay in Terra for a while to pay homage to His Majesty. Is that permissible?"
"We have obtained permission, a special authorization from the Space Marines. A sacred certification from the Iron Warriors and the Imperial Fists."
"To challenge us to a duel here is to defy the God-Emperor. This is not a sign of loyalty, human!"
The Eldar nobles remained as eloquent as ever, and even the top human nobles rarely gained the upper hand in verbal exchanges.
The nobleman's Chainsword stopped in mid-air.
His breathing was rapid, his chest heaving violently, but he couldn't bring himself to strike with the sword.
It wasn't the Eldar's words that softened his heart, but rather he suddenly realized something: this group of Eldar didn't seem to be there to fight.
Moreover, they genuinely didn't seem to have any malicious intent.
He put away the Chainsword.
"You can stay," he said, his voice still harsh, "But you have to pay rent. And you're not allowed to urinate or defecate in the yard. Also, you're not allowed to sing on the night of the full moon."
This shows that the nobleman was quite knowledgeable.
At least he knew how to offend the Eldar.
For the Eldar, who have both material and spiritual fastidiousness, things like not being allowed to urinate or defecate in public, and singing in private settings, are torture.
If others were to describe them in this way, many Eldar would even wage a death battle to uphold their pride.
All I can say is that this group leader did everything in his power to disgust the Eldar. Even if I can't kill you, I'll still try to stab you in the chest.
That's truly in the style of Terra.
Actually, this was also the nobleman's wishful thinking. Come on, rebel! Challenge me to a duel! If you dare to hit me even once, I'll chop you to pieces with my Chainsword!
How could a loyal subject of the Emperor be so inconvenient?
If there are no conditions for me to be loyal, then I will create them!
But what about the Eldar?
He remained silent, clenching his fists; clearly, his pride wouldn't allow him to bow his head at this moment.
He was a nobleman, and he was the one who tormented and enslaved others. No one ever dared to enslave him, let alone humiliate him!
He desperately suppressed his anger and the various aristocratic arrogance he had developed in the past.
Here dwells the divine king Asuryan; this is the place they should belong. Only here can they find peace for their souls.
Yes, he held back; this Eldar nobleman held back!
Even the lowest of the Eldar in the Eldar heartland of the Commorragh would find it impossible to tolerate such humiliation.
But this ancient nobleman actually held back!
The Eldar nodded. "If you need anything, just tell us, and we promise not to disturb your daily life."
"Cut."
The nobleman hadn't expected that the Eldar would actually hold back.
It seems these bean sprouts are determined to live in Holy Terra.
"Alright, everyone, you can all leave now!"
The nobleman turned around and waved to the group of servants behind him.
"That's all for today. We'll stop playing tomorrow."
The servants' eyes reddened even more, almost to the point of tears.
They are truly sad.
Damn it, they haven't even drawn their swords yet! What a great opportunity, and they've already wasted it!
You go ahead and chop down those Xenos!
Scenes unfolded before her eyes, Asuryan took off her glasses.
His fingers were trembling.
It wasn't out of fear, but because he had finally figured something out.
Aren't these humans' mental states a bit too beautiful?
Their first reaction upon seeing the Eldar was not fear or vigilance, but a kind of ecstatic joy that "finally we can kill heretics."
Their servants were dejected for not getting a chance to charge, like children who hadn't received candy.
The regret on their nobleman's face after the fight didn't break out was even more profound than when he missed his first love in his youth.
Asuryan turned to look at the Emperor, wondering what kind of mess humans had made of this weasel.
The nobles are just cowards who fear death!
What does it mean to say that if there are no conditions to sacrifice, then find a way to create the conditions to sacrifice?
Have all of humanity turned into the shape of yellow weasels?
He truly deserves to be called the fifth Chaos Gods of the Warp.
Asuryan remained silent for a long time.
He suddenly felt that humans were even more perverted than the Eldar.
Not the twisted, self-destructive kind of perversion, but the kind that says, "I know I'm a pervert."
But I'm perverted in a way that's self-righteous, upright, and leaves you speechless.
On this path, the Eldar still have much room for improvement.
He put his glasses back on and continued reading.
As the scene shifted, he saw more Eldar pouring into Terra.
They emerged from the exits of the Webway, from the rifts on the far side of the Luna, and from the passages repaired by the Imperial Fists and the Iron Warriors.
Some of them rode in Eldar flying vehicles, some rode their own Psionic Energy mounts, and some simply walked, traversing the land of Terra on their long legs.
Humans did not stop them.
It's not because they don't want to, but because the Emperor has given the order; the Eldar are now allies.
Some nobles, or those who wished to remain loyal, might try to resist, but when these Eldar produced their legitimate travel documents...
They could only helplessly let these heretics leave.
