Wasn't this the robot controlled by the Qilin in Green Vine City?
A hundred years later, Little Nine had managed to tinker it back into existence.
Just as Bai Ye thought the Mechanical God Cult was nothing to fear, an accident occurred.
BOOM!!!
A deafening blast instantly swallowed the entire battlefield.
A small mushroom cloud slowly rose, while terrifying shockwaves swept in every direction.
Bai Ye, standing atop a tree, was nearly blown away.
His eyes widened as he looked at Yinglong, whose flesh had been blown to a pulp. "Holy shit!? They even have mushroom bombs??"
On the battlefield, Yinglong, the largest of them all, crashed to the ground. Half her body had been blown away, and the wounds were scorched black.
"It wasn't a mushroom bomb. It was a light tactical surface-to-surface missile." The Doctor's calm voice rang out.
Bai Ye was stunned. "Where did the missiles come from? Didn't the Great Cataclysm slightly alter the laws of physics, rendering some technology unusable?"
The Doctor adjusted his windblown glasses and explained, "The laws of physics are the foundation of technology. Once they changed, it was like the foundation had collapsed, and the technological tree built upon it naturally fell apart.
"Missiles were one such example. But that doesn't mean missiles can never be developed again. As long as a new technological tree is established based on the altered laws of physics, it can be done.
"However, the amount of calculation required is enormous. I thought no one in this world besides me could achieve it.
"I never expected someone in the Mechanical God Cult to succeed. Incredible."
Bai Ye froze for a moment before flying into a rage. "That bitch Little Nine! After tinkering around for decades, she really hadn't been up to anything good."
"Little Nine?" The
