"Silan..."

Hermione bit her lip as she looked at him. She was clearly worried about him.

"Please, hurry." Clop flicked his horn, and Silan and Hermione rose helplessly into the air and landed on his back.

Clop neighed, pushed himself up on his front legs, and raced toward the Forbidden Forest.

Hermione sat in front of Silan, her back pressed against his chest. Warmth seeped through their clothes and straight into her heart.

The momentum of Clop's run made Silan wrap an arm around Hermione's waist. With his other hand, he grabbed Clop's mane.

Doing this in front of their classmates sent a blush right up to Hermione's ears. Her heart beat faster than Clop's hooves.

"Oh my God!"

The students gaped as the two of them rode off on the unicorn. Their astonished cries nearly knocked Malfoy off Buckbeak's back.

"What did I just see? They're riding a unicorn? I thought unicorns were supposed to be proud!"

"Who knows? I heard unicorns always hated male wizards, but he doesn't seem to mind Prewett at all."

"That's nothing, though." Ron glanced at Malfoy and raised his voice. "My brother's even ridden a dragon. A unicorn's no big deal."

Ron spoke even louder. "Unlike some people, who get full of themselves just because they rode a Hippogriff."

"Yeah," someone agreed. "Unicorns are much rarer than Hippogriffs."

The students watched enviously as Silan and Hermione disappeared into the Forbidden Forest.

This class had been worth it after all.

Never mind the Hippogriff. Just seeing a unicorn let two students ride him had made it worthwhile.

They would be talking about this for ages.

Malfoy's face flushed red as he glared daggers at Ron.

Can that damned Weasley rat keep his mouth shut for once?

"What's so special about a unicorn?" Malfoy kicked
