"Hey, George, Fred, I've got a Galleon-making job. Want in?"
On the first morning of the Christmas holiday, before dawn had even broken, Oren charged into the twins' dormitory and shook them awake.
"Go on?" George's mouth clearly reacted faster than his brain. He agreed before he was even fully awake.
Oren pulled out a palm-sized portrait of Madam Snape. "Sell these."
The sight of the portrait woke the two of them up immediately.
Fred said, "This is a deadly job."
George said, "We might earn the Galleons, but we probably won't live to spend them."
"Look at you two cowards. Other than selling those little prank trinkets, what have you done this term?" Oren said.
"Raided Niffler nests? You should give up those petty little games and pull off something big with me. You get eighty percent of the profits. I'm only doing this for fun."
Fred slapped his thigh. "Eighty percent? We're in!"
"Should've said so earlier," George said. "When do we start?"
Oren...
"Now. I need house-elves... some workers to handle highly repetitive tasks."
The twins...
"Good! Very good! You two stay here and make the portraits. Don't go anywhere. I'm going out for a stroll."
With the leisurely gait of an old man taking a walk, Oren left Gryffindor Tower and wandered through Hogwarts Castle.
"Harry? Ron? Why are you in such a hurry? And why are you wearing Sly... Slytherin clothes?" Oren asked in confusion.
"We used Polyjuice Potion to turn into Goyle and Crabbe," Harry said. "We went to Malfoy to gather information."
"Malfoy isn't the heir of the Chamber of Secrets," Ron said. "And his father, Lucius, plans to use the monster attacks on students to force Headmaster Dumbledore out of the school."
Oren covered his face with one hand. "I forgot to
