Oren asked, "Have your teenage detective squad found any clues about the Heir of Slytherin?"

"It was Hagrid. Tom Riddle's diary told us," Harry said with an awkward expression.

"Huh?" Oren dug at his ear and asked in confusion, "A diary? Told you?"

Ron said helplessly, "As much as I hate to admit it, Hagrid has a soft spot for giant monsters."

Hermione said, "Could that Riddle fellow have picked the wrong person?"

"Something's off," Oren said after thinking for a moment. "The magical creatures Hagrid keeps can either tear people to pieces or crush them into dumpling filling, but I've never seen one that could petrify people."

"The most suspicious thing is, what normal person writes a damn diary? If you write it on paper, can it still count as inner thoughts? Disgusting!"

The three of them...

"Anyway, we should find that diary and hand it over to Headmaster Dumbledore. There's definitely something wrong with that thing."

How could Oren not know whether it was suspicious? If it possessed intelligence, there was a good chance a soul had been added to it. After all, that was how he had made his war machine, BabyBus.

"Then let's hurry back and find the diary," Harry said as he stood up. "I left it in the dormitory."

"Let's go." ×2

Gryffindor Tower, boys' dormitory.

Oren said, "Hermione, why did you come too?"

Ron said, "You shouldn't have come."

"I wanted to see that diary too." Hermione rolled her eyes at them.

Oren pushed open the door, froze for a second, then said to Harry and Ron, "So while I was gone, did you lot turn the dormitory into a pigsty?"

"Hurry, Harry! Check if anything is missing!" Ron said, rushing into the dormitory and beginning to search.

Hermione tugged at Oren's sleeve
