About a kilometer from the sewage treatment plant, deep underground, Ur led a group of Kommandoz behind two scouts through filthy drainage tunnels reeking of stench.
They had received a new mission: deal with a troublesome group of Shrimp.
According to the Snotling scouts, after those Shrimp routed the idiots who had originally occupied the sewage treatment plant, they chose to reinforce the intact buildings on the spot, seemingly intending to hold the place for a long time.
The order had come directly from the Court Guard. Clearly, they intended to use this sewage treatment plant for something, and they did not want a single Shrimp to return alive—or for the Shrimp to learn who had come here.
"Piggies, check yer weapons."
With a low growl, Ur clenched his fist, then relaxed it.
Kundraka had chosen him from among the many Kommando leaders to lead this attack. Clearly, there was some purpose behind it, while the other Kommando squads would draw the enemy's attention.
It was not that he did not want to carry out a mission worthy of boasting about for a long time, but the day before, his squad had just fought a fierce battle with the Blood-Worship Cult's cultists. They had been ambushed, and another squad had been dragged into it as well.
He had nearly lost his life in that battle, and his squad had lost quite a few of its best fighters.
Yet Kundraka had still chosen him.
Ur was grateful for that.
He felt that he needed to win back some face. He longed for a chance to make up for it and restore his honor.
Kundraka had kept him by his side until dawn, carefully working through the plan.
Ur and a handpicked squad would infiltrate the sewage plant through a secret passage
