Duke searched for a while but failed to find anything that could serve as the core of a light-element crystal. There was not even anything with a relatively high concentration of light-element energy.
Not only were there no light-element items, there were no dark-element ones either. These two types truly belonged to an exceptionally rare and scarce category.
Even if the Black Sail Vault had possessed such items, they likely would not have remained until Duke's turn. They would have been exchanged long ago.
Duke then looked through other types of resources. Most were Level 2 Wizard Tools, Level 2 potion materials, and the like.
Level 2 Wizard Tools were quite powerful for the current Duke, but his mental power was insufficient for frequent use. Most Level 2 Wizard Tools placed some burden on him and could only be used as trump cards.
After carefully considering his current circumstances and past experiences, Duke began selecting the Level 2 Wizard Tools he needed.
He soon took a liking to a Level 2 Wizard Tool called the Vengeful Doll.
The Vengeful Doll looked like an ordinary cloth doll played with by little girls. It even had several patches on it and appeared utterly commonplace, except its face was somewhat ferocious, with many fangs growing inside its wide mouth.
This Wizard Tool was a curse-type defensive Wizard Tool and had excellent defensive effects against curses.
As long as one wore the Vengeful Doll, they could directly become immune to curse spells below Level 1. It could also directly devour Level 1 spells, though it needed a period of time to digest them.
