Explosions rang out one after another. Massive fireballs and clouds of smoke shot into the sky, instantly blasting the rocks they had used as cover into fragments and leaving several scorched craters in the ground.

Even from some distance away, the scorching shockwaves and flying debris chased after their backs.

By then, Duke and the others had already run far away. They could only hear the deafening blasts behind them, and the energy fluctuations did not reach this far.

Ricky remained at the rear of the group, keeping watch over everyone's condition and helping intercept some of the energy impacts.

He also kept an eye out for pursuers behind them, but once they had left the range of the energy ballistas, everything returned to calm.

Turus Territory might send people out to pursue them as well, but to them, this was merely routine reconnaissance and harassment, not something serious enough to warrant a major troop deployment.

If this was a wizard's ploy to lure them out, pursuing them would be walking straight into the trap.

The squad raced onward until the heart-pounding energy fluctuations behind them completely vanished from their senses and the Iron Curtain Great Wall once again became a vague black silhouette on the horizon. Only then did they gradually slow down.

Ella's face was still somewhat pale, lingering fear written all over it. When she had seen the energy ballistas firing at them, her body had frozen completely, and she had been unable to react at all.

The feeling of death looming over her heart refused to fade. She likely would not recover from it anytime soon.

Having been pampered since childhood, she had never truly experienced death and had never understood that the essence of war was cruelty.

Ricky stayed at the back of the group.
