Obito's Fear of Death

Obito emerged from the Kamui Dimension with a fake Shion.

He was already very close to the seal.

This was the bottom of a canyon strewn with rubble, with chaotic rocks all around.

If Obito had not possessed Yomi's memories, he would never have found this place.

Obito found an entrance ahead that resembled a shrine.

Following it inward, he found a narrow path that led all the way down.

Stone paths ran along both sides. As he descended, it grew hotter and hotter, and before long, a red glow rushed toward him.

Obito stepped inside and saw that the underground was filled with lava.

Crisscrossing paths stretched above the lava, while a massive Sealing Array stood at the very center.

Obito carried Shion to the Sealing Array at the center.

With one hand, he threw Shion onto the ground.

Obito formed several Hand Seals, the very seals he had obtained from Yomi for undoing the seal.

To undo the seal, Shion had to be within the range of this Sealing Array as well.

After Obito spent several minutes performing the Hand Seals, the seal here merely flashed once before falling silent again.

Obito frowned, unable to understand what had gone wrong. After all, he had merely acquired Yomi's memories; this was not something he had originally known.

Now that blindly copying the process had caused a problem, he had no idea how to resolve it.

Shion beside him was still unconscious, so Obito simply placed a hand on her head and began reading Shion's memories.

A few seconds later, Obito opened his eyes, his expression turning ugly. "A fake!?"

When Obito captured the person before him, he had naturally examined her. This person did not even have Chakra, so there was no possibility of a Transformation Jutsu.

But Obito
