Sasori's Overture

Sasori sized up this anomaly among the Uchiha Clan.

Before Natsuki became clan head, the Uchiha Clan had been renowned, but only for their combat power.

Most other assessments of them described them as battle maniacs, lunatics, and reckless brutes.

But judging from the intelligence Sasori had obtained since Natsuki's sneak attack on him last time and his resurrection afterward,

Natsuki was an anomaly among them.

If he had to find a word to describe him, it would be sinister.

A sinister Uchiha.

For a moment, neither Sasori nor Natsuki spoke.

Seeing that Sasori had no intention of speaking, Natsuki said directly, "Do you want to work for me?"

Sasori paused before saying, "That depends on whether Lord Natsuki can afford my price."

Natsuki stroked his chin. "At present, the Uchiha Clan can meet most demands."

Sasori stared intently at Natsuki. "The Fourth Hokage's resurrection was your handiwork, wasn't it, Lord Natsuki?"

Natsuki had deliberately shown himself in Konoha to leak certain information.

Primarily, he had wanted to feed information to the Sarutobi Clan.

Of course, he had also considered that someone might connect him to Minato's resurrection.

But outsiders could only speculate about such things.

Natsuki did not deny it, merely asking, "What if it was? What if it wasn't?"

By not directly denying it, Natsuki had essentially admitted it.

Sasori fell silent for a moment, then said directly, "I want to resurrect two people."

Anyone who had looked into Sasori even a little knew that he wanted to resurrect his parents.

But Natsuki rejected him outright. "Impossible."

Natsuki added, "The price required to resurrect someone is enormous. At present, you don't have the corresponding bargaining chips."

Sasori knew it would not be that simple, and he had been somewhat prepared for Natsuki's refusal.
