After finishing his exchanges at the supplies office, Lynn did not return to the camp. Instead, he headed straight for the small market the garrison wizard had mentioned.
There was a narrow alley beside the supplies office, with all sorts of stalls lining both sides.
Some sold provisions, some sold materials, some sold equipment, and some sold miscellaneous goods.
Most of the stall owners were Wizards, though there were also a few apprentices and puppets.
Lynn walked down the alley, examining the stalls one by one.
The first stall sold weapons and equipment—swords, sabers, spears, and lances—all standard-issue items inscribed with the simplest sharpness and sturdiness runes.
These were meant for mass-equipped Undead and servant armies. Lynn had no use for them.
The fourth stall sold materials.
Holy Light Crystals, Holy Light Blood Essence, Angel Feathers, Angel Bones—the prices were somewhat cheaper than at the supplies office.
A bottle of Holy Light Blood Essence cost five hundred Merit Points at the supplies office, but only four hundred here.
An Angel Feather cost fifty Merit Points at the supplies office, but only forty here.
An Angel Bone cost two hundred Merit Points at the supplies office, but only one hundred and fifty here.
The other materials were of little use to Lynn, but the Holy Light Blood Essence was worthwhile.
The stall owner was a One-Ring Wizard, appearing to be in his early twenties. His face was youthful, with a few acne scars, making him look like an honest kid fresh out of a farming village.
Lynn swept a glance over him and immediately saw that his face was a disguise.
His bone age was wrong, his skin texture was wrong, his eyes were wrong, and even more so, his soul aura was wrong.
