Gregor stood before a workbench, holding a constantly writhing lump of flesh.

Thanks to the earlier successful case, the "Death Blossom" project had made considerable progress. Perfect substitutes had been found for both "Little Stone" and "Mist Spirit," two components of the trinity.

Only the most crucial component, the "Heart of the Starry Sky Behemoth," remained a mystery.

That thing was the key to the transformation: a "universal heart pump" with an inexhaustible energy supply, and an "all-purpose catalyst" capable of harmonizing all things.

Gregor had modified the hearts of several void creatures, hoping to create an "artificial heart," but every attempt had failed.

It simply wasn't something that could be artificially produced.

Without a perfect substitute for the "Heart of the Starry Sky Behemoth," the project had to be shelved for the time being.

Unfortunately, the Academy had no such thing. Gregor had asked the Academy to help search for one and posted missions among various wizard factions, offering handsome rewards, but there had still been no leads.

Starry Sky Behemoths were far too rare. Even wizards who waged war across the worlds seldom encountered one, let alone had the ability to kill one.

Disappointed, Gregor turned to other projects for now.

Recently, he had been researching a new undead fusion technique that required blending three undead cores with different attributes to create a powerful "composite" undead.

The lump of flesh pulsed in his palm, fine blood vessels spreading across its surface as the three undead cores inside slowly merged under Gregor's control.
