Over the next few months, Lynn remained on the third floor of the Bone Vault.
He went every morning and returned every evening.
During the day, he recorded texts and cracked restrictions along the way. At night, he analyzed the recorded contents.
All five hundred workstations continued analyzing the restrictions in the paid section. After two months, the progress was already over halfway complete.
Wayne arrived punctually every day. The two drank tea, chatted, and discussed the laws of holy light.
Wayne greatly admired Lynn's diligence.
"You are the most patient person I've ever seen." Wayne lifted his teacup and blew on the steam.
"When I was young at the Sacred Flame Judgment Academy, I felt uncomfortable all over if I sat still for fifteen minutes. But you? You sit for an entire day."
Lynn returned the book to the shelf. "I don't have enough knowledge. I have no choice but to sit."
Wayne smiled and set down his teacup.
He watched Lynn take another book from the shelf, flip through several pages, then put it back.
Lynn only browsed the free section and never touched the tomes in the paid section.
Wayne noticed this, but he did not ask.
He assumed Lynn lacked enough contribution points, or that he intended to finish devouring all the knowledge in the free section first.
Nor did he offer to help, because Lynn had not asked. If he brought it up himself, it would be somewhat insulting.
"Lynn, have you ever considered taking over as guardian of the Bone Vault?"
Wayne leaned back in his chair and lightly tapped the table twice with his fingers.
