Aldric said nothing, deeply shaken.
He had once conducted in-depth research into the structure of world rules in his own world, but those structures had been embedded within the ocean of world rules, maintaining the world's operation.
One could only see a small portion of them. Most areas were covered by unrevealed shells.
Yet the network of rules before him had every layer exposed, complete.
It was like geological strata turned inside out, every fault line and texture spread openly across his vision without reservation.
He watched for a long time, his gaze following the path of a pale golden-white chain for some distance.
He confirmed the area covered by the chain and determined that it was indeed operating. Its direction remained constant, while its speed and range stayed within the same interval, without any obvious fluctuations or interruptions.
Every rule within this vast network was extremely stable, fulfilling its own function.
Aldric's lips moved, as if confirming a conclusion. "These rules... are all under your control?"
"Yes," Lynn said.
"This is the small world within my body. Naturally, all the rules here are under my control."
"This is a vast network of rules woven from the Myriad Phenomena Stigma. Every chain is a complete rule."
"Of course, most of them are merely frameworks and have yet to be filled in."
"They operate along fixed paths. They require no additional guidance and will not deviate on their own."
Aldric nodded in understanding. Only after a long while did his voice sound again:
"We alchemists call ourselves researchers of rules, but in truth, we are merely users of rules."
"Invoking world rules is like borrowing an object. Once we are done using it, we return it, then continue living, researching, and learning more."
"But you Wizards... are the true masters of
