Lynn slowly entered the dungeon. The sound of his footsteps echoed between the walls, growing louder and heavier, weighing on the adventurers inside.
Iron Tooth followed behind him like a silent shadow.
Lynn ignored the other adventurers and walked straight up to the burly man.
Since he was the only one who knew who stood behind this, Lynn would question him directly.
The man raised his head to look at Lynn.
His lips were purple, and his face was smeared with blood, but his gaze remained unyielding. "Kill me if you want. I won't say a word."
If the other adventurers had witnessed such a display of iron resolve, they would surely have given him a thumbs-up and called him a real man.
Unfortunately, before a Soul Department wizard, it was especially laughable.
Lynn did not respond. He merely placed one hand on the man's forehead.
Invisible, formless energy gathered in his palm and bored into the man's soul.
"Soul-Searching Technique!"
"Aah—!"
The man's scream burst from his lips.
It felt as though countless iron spikes had pierced his soul at once. The agony made his entire body convulse, his eyes rolling back.
He desperately tried to escape, but Lynn held his head firmly in place.
"I'll talk! I'll talk!" Blood-flecked foam sprayed from the man's mouth.
"It was the Black Fang Family! They told us to bring people here and cause trouble, smash up the shops, seize the goods, then kill someone to make an example! They gave us a huge sum of money and told us to flee far away once the job was done!"
Lynn's heart sank at his words, but he still did not release him.
"I've said everything! I didn't hide anything! Please, let me go!" the man wailed.
"Now you want to talk? Too
