Ian and Linas soon reached the edge of the front line.
The energy was gradually declining as well, and a trace of cold appeared in the air.
"We're here." Linas stopped.
About thirty li ahead, countless demon armies surrounded a Rift.
The Rift hung in the void, roughly two zhang across, with icy-blue chill continuously pouring out of it.
Ian released his perception and sent it into the Rift, sensing an extremely chaotic and enormous aura.
It was cold and heavy, carrying the Abyss's unique fluctuations. It was even more chaotic than the Second Layer's distortion.
Ian closed his eyes and extended his perception with all his might.
Very soon, he passed through the Rift and touched the world on the other side.
The Abyssal World on the other side had a more complex rule structure than the Second Layer. Deeper within the world, he vaguely sensed something else.
However, with an entire world between them, many of his perceptions were unclear.
Ian withdrew his perception and opened his eyes.
Linas stood to the side, secretly observing Ian's expression as she cautiously asked, "My lord, what did you sense?"
"The Frost King is indeed very powerful," Ian said.
Linas sighed. "My master has fought it for a year. Every time, she drives it back, but it can always bring out new armies from behind the Rift. It simply can't be defeated."
Ian did not answer. His gaze fell upon the Rift as he watched the icy-blue chill continuously pour out and slowly spread through the void.
"How long can the seal on this Rift hold?"
"I don't know." Linas shook her head.
"My master has been repairing it constantly, but every time it's repaired, it is destroyed again soon afterward. There seems to be a specialized force continuously eroding the
