Background
Ian transmigrated into the body of a sixteen-year-old noble’s second son shortly after the original owner died while brewing a potion with the lethal Rot-Bone Flower. The body’s former owner had exhausted his family’s resources on failed Potion Studies and faced expulsion unless he reached Intermediate Apprentice within two months. 1
The Status Panel became Ian’s decisive advantage. It displayed his realm and skills, supplied insight after practice or failure, and allowed his proficiencies to repeatedly exceed their normal limits. He used this advantage to improve his meditation, potion brewing, and combat sorcery at an abnormal pace. 1 4 28
After killing Simon—the Intermediate Apprentice who had exploited the original owner—Ian began cooperating with Kenna’s group for materials, information, and protection. His need to offset Magic Power erosion also led him toward bloodline purification and physical tempering through Rock Bear blood and related potions. 10 12 13 15
Appearance
Ian initially appeared pale and unremarkable, with slightly sunken eye sockets and a listless expression after his transmigration. 1 His repeated physical and magical transformations substantially changed his presence.
- Long black hair and black eyes; his gaze can carry visible silvery starlight in combat. 252
- After crystallization, his skin became jade-like, with faint silver-white star patterns moving across it. 255
- His complete Forge Body Tempering Art form reaches approximately four meters in height and develops dense stone-like armor beneath the skin. 252
- His Order Divine Body can manifest as a hundred-zhang energy construct rather than ordinary flesh. 325
Personality
Ian is disciplined, pragmatic, and intensely self-directed. His first priority after transmigration was survival: he isolated himself, cultivated relentlessly, and treated magic stones, potion ingredients, and information as resources to be allocated rather than luxuries to be enjoyed. 1 5 6
He is cautious with alliances and authority. Ian initially remained independently affiliated after becoming a First-Level Wizard, refused Julian’s informal summons on procedural grounds, and consistently avoids commitments that would compromise his freedom of action. 145 157
Despite his emotional restraint, Ian protects those he accepts as his own. He avenges threats against the Marcus family, personally guides Gaga’s advancement, supports Adele’s position within the Juste Family, and takes responsibility for the beings living under his care. 151 328 332
Ian is also willing to use deception when pursuing cross-world power. His revised Abyssal contract framework was designed to present an exploitative soul-extraction arrangement as a consensual exchange. 206 207
Abilities & Skills
Status Panel and Limit Breaks
Ian’s Status Panel records his realm, talent, and skill proficiencies. Repeated practice grants proficiency and insight, while a skill reaching its limit produces a qualitative “Limit Break” effect and further condenses his Mental Power. 1 28
At the Radiant Moon stage, the Panel merged into Ian’s soul and became part of his order origin rather than a separate external system. 463
| Skill | Limit-Break Effect | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Lesser Frost Ray | Twin 12 | Fires two frost rays simultaneously. |
| Awakening Potion | Potent 28 | Doubles its meditation-assistance effect. |
| Basic Potion Identification | Insight 32 | Reveals a potion’s magic-density distribution and energy flow. |
| Wizard’s Hand | Spirit Infusion 43 | Allows precise, simultaneous delicate operations with reduced consumption. |
| Crystal Energy Barrier | Reorganization 46 | Repairs damaged shield sections by redistributing energy and rebuilding crystal cells. |
| Eye of Vigilance | Concealment 58 | Improves the stealth of the surveillance eye. |
| Star-Moon Intermediate Meditation Method | Star-Moon Resonance 85 | Increases nighttime cultivation efficiency and affinity with starlight- and moonlight-type sorcery. |
| Invisibility | Mimicry 174 | Replicates surrounding colors and textures while moving, defeating ordinary visual detection. |
| Frost-Ember Ray | Entropy-Change Domain 264 | Grants a Rank 2 domain effect based on the spell’s opposing ice-and-fire properties. |
| Gravity Collapse Ball | Spacetime Curvature Field 310 | Produces a gravity-based field capable of distorting space and time. |
Frost-Ember Ray and Spellcraft
Ian’s primary innate wizardry, Frost-Ember Ray, fuses Lesser Frost Ray and Scorching Ray into a single ice-fire attack with stronger power and greater efficiency than either component alone. 120
- Combines extreme cold and heat to trigger destructive explosions. 43
- Can be used alongside Gravity Collapse Ball and Earth Resonance against physically powerful enemies. 252
- Its Rank 2 Limit Break grants the Entropy-Change Domain. 264
- Ian can cast Second Order spells instantly; he used one to create a crater in solid rock as a warning to the Silver Circle. 242
Order Divine Body
Ian’s Third-Level innate talent unifies his major spells and three Starpaths into an elemental true body based on order. 325
- Gravity Skeleton provides structure, compression, expansion, and gravitational control.
- Purified Flesh grants resistance to corruption and supports purification effects.
- Time Core improves processing speed and time-related rule applications.
- Icefire Whip, Crystal Wall Cloak, and Forge Skin can manifest as individual components or as part of the complete Divine Body. 325
- The Divine Body can purify Abyssal contamination, as demonstrated against Edgar Juste. 331
- Fusion with Ian’s mountain giant bloodline true form increased his defense by at least 30% and doubled his strength. 349
Body Tempering and Bloodline Arts
Ian countered Magic Power erosion by continuously strengthening his body through bloodline potions, Blood Essence, and the Forge Body Tempering Art. 6 113
- Rock Bear Potion gave him greater strength, endurance, speed, and resistance to fatigue. 15
- The combined Rock Bear Potion and Dream Potion transformation greatly enhanced his recovery, reactions, and physical resilience. 105
- His perfected body can withstand most First Order witchcraft head-on and destroy a Blacksteel Testing Stele with one punch. 208
- In complete form, he can fight opponents relying on extreme strength and regeneration in direct physical combat. 252
Alchemy and Potion Research
Ian is a Potion Master whose alchemical work finances much of his cultivation and attracts the attention of major wizard factions. 36 206
- Brewed five standard-quality Concentration Potions in one batch and maintained daily potion-assisted cultivation. 83
- Developed and sold Concentration Potions, Rock Bear Potions, Starlight Potions, purification potions, and bloodline potions. 96 174 206
- Uses Insight to assess a potion’s internal energy distribution rather than relying solely on outward appearance. 32
- Led research into an Abyssal Contamination Neutralizer and proposed methods for locating rule pathways. 157
- Accepted a trade to supply fifty Rank Three Purification Potions and ten Rank Three Bloodline Potions in exchange for interworld-travel knowledge. 340
Contracts, Projections, and Cross-World Travel
Ian studies Abyssal contracts, Soulweaving Civilization knowledge, and phase-based witch-tools to establish connections between worlds. 140 200 206
- Abyssal Soul Pact — an equal-resource-exchange contract anchored through Abyssal rune stones. 140
- Phase Soulweaving Art — gained after accepting a soul contract with a Soulweaver remnant and absorbing its core. 200
- Two-Realm Phase Instrument — connects the Wizarding World and Aran Continent, allowing clearer communication and transfer of rule comprehension with Li Xing. 307
- The upgraded phase instrument became a high-tier third-rank wizard tool capable of stable short-distance teleportation. 349
