Bang!
"Ah!"
Vegeta screamed as he was sent flying backward!
Buzz!
Energy gathered in Beerus's palm, and he casually fired a ki blast.
Vegeta struggled to steady himself in space, only to see a ki blast hurtling toward him.
"Damn it! Don't underestimate me!"
Vegeta gritted his teeth and gathered his energy...
"Final Flash!"
"Haaah!"
A golden energy wave shot out and clashed with the incoming ki blast. For a moment, neither could overpower the other!
"What?!"
Vegeta's eyes widened. The energy wave he had charged up and fired had actually been blocked by Beerus's casual attack. Was the gap between their strength really that enormous?
"You seem to be having a hard time."
Beerus's voice came from behind him. Vegeta's entire body went numb with fright again, and even his energy output stalled. In that brief interruption, the ki blast Beerus had fired broke through the Final Flash at incredible speed and struck Vegeta!
Boom!!
This was the tremor produced by God Power!
Even the laws of the universe had to bow before this power!
"Argh!!"
Vegeta screamed as the ki blast sent him flying. The blue aura around him faded, returning him to his red divine power form.
Whoosh!
Beerus appeared before Vegeta, raised his hand, and flicked a finger, adding another blow!
Bang!
Vegeta flew backward, unable to even scream this time.
Boom!!
Vegeta crashed heavily onto a rocky planet, smashing a deep crater into its surface. He lay within it, unconscious.
"Ahh~"
Beerus yawned boredly and muttered, "A Super Saiyan God only has this much strength? What a disappointment. As expected, dreams are all lies."
Elsewhere.
Kibito sensed Son Goku and Vegeta's ki plummeting one after another and immediately understood that they had been defeated.
Cold sweat ran down his forehead as he said in alarm, "Mr. Goku and the others... lost! How is that possible?!"
"Stay calm, Kibito. Beerus, the God of Destruction, is a deity who stands on equal footing with me. It is hardly surprising that he defeated Goku and the others," Shin reassured him.
"Beerus, the God of Destruction... a deity I have never heard of before. To think there is actually a deity in this universe who can stand shoulder to shoulder with you, Supreme Kai... it is unbelievable!" Kibito said in shock.
"Beerus, the God of Destruction, is an old monster who has lived for hundreds of millions of years. By comparison, I have only lived for a few million years. Before that gentleman, I am merely a child. It is I who benefit from being considered his equal," Shin explained with a smile.
Cold sweat trickled down Kibito's forehead as he muttered, "A deity who has lived for hundreds of millions of years... no wonder he is so powerful!"
"Supreme Kai, what should we do next?" Kibito asked anxiously.
"Calm down, Kibito." A divine glint flashed in Shin's eyes as he activated Forced Calm.
Kibito was forcibly calmed down and asked blandly, "Supreme Kai, what should we do next?"
Shin smiled. "Of course, we should go greet our senior."
As soon as he finished speaking.
Shin brought Kibito with him and instantly moved before Beerus.
Beerus looked at the suddenly appearing Shin and Kibito, narrowing his eyes. "Instant Transmission? What a convenient ability."
Shin smiled and asked, "Mr. Beerus, did you enjoy yourself just now?"
Beerus stretched lazily and dug at his ear with an indolent expression. "Not at all. That battle did not even count as a warm-up."
Shin smiled. "You were simply too serious, Mr. Beerus. You used a fraction of your true strength against two mortals. That is bullying children."
"Oh? You have quite the nerve. Are you lecturing me?" Beerus narrowed his eyes and stared coldly at Shin.
Shin remained unmoved, waving a hand. "Do not take it too seriously, Mr. Beerus. You have lived for hundreds of millions of years. It is only natural that two mortals who have trained for less than a century cannot defeat you."
Beerus grinned. "In my dream, I saw someone called the Super Saiyan God who could contend with me. But now it seems dreams cannot be trusted."
"But you, Supreme Kai, have caught my interest."
"I have met many Supreme Kais. Every one of them was timid and submissive before me, yet you remain so calm and composed in my presence."
"If you were an ignorant idiot, that would be one thing. But judging by your behavior, you clearly understand how terrifying I am. So where does your confidence come from?"
Shin did not answer. The faint smile remained on his face as his gaze swept across the surrounding universe before settling on the unconscious Son Goku and Vegeta.
With a raised hand and a curl of his fingers, he instantly moved the unconscious pair over.
Even while unconscious, the two maintained their Super God Red forms. This was what allowed them to survive in space, and it was also the result of their years of training.
Otherwise, the instant they passed out and reverted to their normal forms, the harsh environment of space would kill them!
If that happened, Shin would have to go to the Underworld to retrieve them before reviving them. It would be quite troublesome.
Shin raised his hand and fired two Healing Rays, restoring the unconscious Son Goku and Vegeta to their peak condition.
Beerus merely watched with narrowed eyes and did not stop him, an interested look appearing on his face.
"So this is the power of a Supreme Kai? It truly is remarkable, though it is merely a minor trick," Beerus commented.
Son Goku and Vegeta woke up groggily, then saw Shin facing off against Beerus.
The two immediately snapped awake and quickly returned to Shin's side. Respectful yet nervous, they said, "Supreme Kai, thank you for saving us again."
"You two just experienced Mr. Beerus's strength. How did it feel?" Shin asked.
Son Goku's expression turned grave. "He was strong! So strong that it was unbelievable!"
Vegeta silently nodded, his expression equally solemn.
"Mr. Beerus was only playing with you just now. Otherwise, you would already be dead, and your souls probably would not have been preserved either. Hurry up and thank Mr. Beerus for showing mercy."
"Huh?"
Son Goku's grave expression turned innocent again. He blinked and asked curiously, "Was that really the case?"
Son Goku's gaze shifted back and forth between Shin and Beerus, as though confirming something.
Shin nodded with a smile. "Whether that is true or not, you who fought Mr. Beerus should know very well, right? After all, you are still alive."
Son Goku blinked, then an innocent smile appeared on his face. Scratching his head, he bowed to Beerus and said, "Um... Lord Beerus, right? Thank you for showing mercy."
"Hmph!" Beerus snorted coldly.
Shin turned to look at Vegeta.
Vegeta blushed slightly and bowed awkwardly. "Thank you... for showing mercy."
"Hmph!" Beerus gave another soft snort, this one carrying a hint of satisfaction.
