Battle Against Beerus!

(So many people have been asking about Old Kai. Let me give a unified reply here: the author hasn't forgotten him. I'm deliberately keeping him offstage, because bringing him out would offer no benefits and would invisibly weaken the protagonist's presence and prestige.)

(After the Universe 6 VS Universe 7 martial arts tournament arc ends, whichever side has more comments will decide it. Fair and impartial. As for why the votes will be counted after this arc ends... take a guess ^_^)

"Yes, Lord Beerus. The two people you were looking for are them," Whis said.

"So it really is them. Interesting!" Beerus grinned, his eyes gleaming with eagerness.

"Didn't you two just ask what I wanted to do on Earth? Heh heh! I'll tell you now..."

Purple God Power radiated from Beerus's body as he said coldly, "I came to destroy Earth!"

At those words.

Grave expressions appeared on Son Goku and Vegeta's faces. Son Goku replied coldly, "Then we're enemies. I will never let you harm Earth!"

Vegeta also stared coldly at Beerus. Red God Power boiled around him, and blazing battle intent filled his eyes!

"Oh, you want to be my enemies? What a ridiculous joke." Beerus chuckled, a chill entering his eyes.

"Then let me tell you two something. Gods of Destruction are very terrifying!"

As soon as he finished speaking.

Beerus raised a hand, gathering purple energy in his palm before firing an energy blast.

Seeing this.

Shin instantly teleported himself and Kibito thousands of miles away, leaving the battlefield to Son Goku and Vegeta.

"Vegeta, let's go!"

"Hmph! Don't order me around!"

Their expressions turned grave as they fired energy blasts at the same time, canceling out Beerus's attack.

"Oh, you've got some skill." Excitement flashed through Beerus's eyes as he grinned. "Come on. Let me see just how strong that super warrior from my dream, the one who could fight me on equal footing, really is!"

Whoosh!

Beerus flashed in front of Son Goku and Vegeta. Their eyes narrowed in shock. So fast!

Bang!

Beerus sent Vegeta flying with a single punch!

"Vegeta!" Son Goku shouted worriedly.

Bang!

Beerus's tail whipped across Son Goku, sending him flying as well.

"Is this all you've got, Super Saiyan God? What a disappointment."

Son Goku and Vegeta each steadied themselves in midair, staring at Beerus with grave expressions.

"Oh, you didn't fall after taking one of my attacks. Interesting." Beerus grinned.

Son Goku and Vegeta exchanged a look across the distance and nodded in perfect understanding before charging at Beerus!

With his hands behind his back, Beerus calmly evaded their combined attacks, utterly at ease.

"Truly weak."

Beerus gave his casual assessment, then sent Son Goku and Vegeta flying again with a punch and a kick.

Beerus raised one hand, gathering energy in his palm before firing several purple ki blasts in succession!

Son Goku and Vegeta hurriedly dodged. The purple ki blasts retained their momentum and struck several planets, which lit up before blooming like fireworks in the universe!

"Damn it!"

Seeing this, Son Goku clenched his fists and brought his hands to his waist, gathering energy...

"Kamehameha!"

Vegeta narrowed his eyes, spread his hands, and gathered energy as well...

"Final Flash!"

"Haaah!"

One blue and one golden energy wave roared toward Beerus like two furious dragons!

Beerus snorted disdainfully, gathered energy in his palm, and fired two more ki blasts to meet Son Goku and Vegeta's ultimate attacks!

Boom!

The two ki blasts Beerus fired looked tiny, but they contained terrifying power, forcing back Son Goku and Vegeta's seemingly overwhelming energy waves!

"Damn it!"

Son Goku gritted his teeth. He had already released all his energy, yet he still couldn't push back the ki blast Beerus had casually fired!

Vegeta was in the same situation.

The two resisted with difficulty, but Beerus's casually fired ki blasts crushed through their energy, closing in on them.

"No choice, Vegeta. Use that move!" Son Goku reminded him.

"Hmph! I know that without you telling me!" Vegeta said irritably.

As soon as he spoke.

While maintaining their energy output, the two closed their eyes and silently drew upon the hidden power within their bodies...

Hum!

The red auras blazing around them slowly began turning blue...

"Haaah!!"

They roared, and the auras around them completely changed from red to blue. Even their hair turned blue, while their power swelled rapidly at a visible rate!

"Haaah!!"

As their power surged, Son Goku and Vegeta's confidence soared. With another roar, their energy waves grew thicker and larger, driving back the two ki blasts that they had been unable to budge moments before!

"Oh, your power has increased? You still had hidden power? Interesting."

Beerus looked at the two ki blasts being forced back without the slightest concern. Those had merely been two casual attacks, and he hadn't even infused them with the Destruction Law. It was hardly surprising that Son Goku and Vegeta could push them back.

Whoosh!

Beerus flashed away, dodging Son Goku and Vegeta's energy waves.

The next second.

Beerus appeared between them. The two turned their heads in shock, only to see Beerus grin and throw both fists!

Bang!

"Aah!!"

Son Goku and Vegeta cried out miserably as they were sent flying at tremendous speed. Only after smashing through several planets did they barely manage to stop.

Son Goku was embedded deep within a planet. Even in Super God Blue, that attack had hit him hard, leaving his mind spinning.

"So this is... a God of Destruction? As expected of a deity on par with Lord Supreme Kai. He's so strong! Like Lord Supreme Kai, his strength is unfathomable," Son Goku sighed.

"What are you muttering about?" Beerus had appeared before Son Goku at some point. Son Goku's eyes widened as he hurriedly climbed to his feet and retreated at high speed!

Bang!

Son Goku's retreat abruptly stopped. It felt as if he had slammed into an incredibly hard wall.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Beerus's voice came from behind him.

Son Goku was so terrified that his body went numb, leaving him unable to move for a moment.

Bang!!

Beerus kicked Son Goku into the depths of space!

Whoosh!

Beerus flashed above Son Goku, raised his clasped fists, and smashed them down fiercely!

Bang!!

"Aah!!"

Son Goku cried out as the blue God Power around him scattered, reverting to red God Power...

Bang!

The flying Son Goku smashed through several more planets before finally crashing into a massive crater on a rocky planet, where he barely came to a stop.

"Kakarot!"

Elsewhere, Vegeta sensed Son Goku's energy plummet to rock bottom and inwardly cursed. This is bad!

"Your turn."

Beerus's voice came from behind him.

Vegeta's body went numb with fear as well, but Beerus did not attack this time, giving Vegeta enough time to regain his composure.

"Damn it!"

Vegeta flew into a rage from humiliation, spun around, and swung a punch!

Whoosh!

Beerus's body flickered, evading Vegeta's attack before solidifying again.

Vegeta's eyes widened in shock.

Beerus grinned and flicked a finger!
