Parents and Brother Dead, Itachi Uchiha Was Stunned

Uchiha Sasuke stared at the scene before him in disbelief, on the verge of collapse. His beloved uncle had ruthlessly pierced his father's heart right in front of him and his mother.

Uchiha Mikoto also watched with a pale face.

She had never imagined that Uchiha Shadian would suddenly stab Fugaku Uchiha through the chest with a single sword strike.

"Uncle, why did you kill Father?" Uchiha Sasuke cried out in despair. Why had his dearest uncle ruthlessly killed his own elder brother, Sasuke's father? Why had this happened? Could someone tell him why?

Uchiha Shadian calmly pulled the sword from Fugaku Uchiha's chest. His gaze was indifferent, and there was not the slightest trace of guilt or pain on his face for having pierced Fugaku Uchiha's heart. There was only calmness.

Without the sword supporting him, Fugaku Uchiha's body crashed heavily to the ground.

With his heart pierced and no special physique, Fugaku Uchiha was immediately on the verge of death. His face was filled with disbelief and pain. He simply could not understand why Uchiha Shadian had pierced his heart with one strike. Uchiha Shadian had already taken his Sharingan power and fused it into his own eyes, so why did he still need to strike him down?

Uchiha Shadian soon dispelled everyone's doubts. He spoke indifferently, "To measure your capacity. Be angry, Sasuke. Let Uncle see just how much capacity you possess. Why did Itachi choose to sacrifice the entire clan, yet leave only you alive?"

Uchiha Sasuke did not understand what Uchiha Shadian meant by capacity. His entire body trembled, but even under such tremendous stimulation, there was still no sign of his eyes awakening.

He looked at Uchiha Shadian in disbelief and fear. He still could not accept or believe that his uncle had ruthlessly killed his father right before his eyes.

He thought that perhaps all of this was genjutsu.

At a complete loss, Uchiha Sasuke could only cling to Uchiha Mikoto and tremble as he cried.

Uchiha Mikoto's face was covered in tears, and her gaze toward Uchiha Shadian was complicated. Even though he had pierced Fugaku Uchiha's heart with one strike, she did not blame him in the slightest.

Uchiha Shadian calmly shook his head. "No, Sister-in-law. I do not find this difficult or painful at all. I did this only to gain power, to resist all the unjust darkness I have encountered."

Uchiha Shadian lowered his head to look at Uchiha Sasuke and said coolly, "Your father is dead, yet your eyes still haven't awakened. It seems I overestimated you, Sasuke."

"You truly are far inferior to Itachi."

"Forget it. This is as far as my expectations for you go. I do not have that much time to wait for you to grow up."

The killing intent in Uchiha Shadian's tone grew heavier and heavier.

Uchiha Mikoto sensed Uchiha Shadian's increasingly intense killing intent. Realizing something, her body jolted. "Shadian, don't tell me you're going to do something to Sasu—"

Before Uchiha Mikoto could finish speaking, a flash of sword light swept past.

A sword pierced straight through Uchiha Sasuke's heart from behind.

"Mom, it hurts!" Blood poured from Uchiha Sasuke's mouth, and scarlet stains instantly spread across Uchiha Mikoto's clothes.

"Mom, I don't want to die. Mom, save me!!!" Uchiha Sasuke cried out in pain and sorrow, reaching for Uchiha Mikoto. But the next moment, his hand lost all strength and dropped. At the same time, his pupils dilated, and his breathing and heartbeat stopped completely.

"No, my Sasuke, don't die."

Uchiha Mikoto held Uchiha Sasuke's bloodstained body and wailed in grief.

Uchiha Mikoto looked at Uchiha Shadian and questioned him, "Shadian, I have always loved you like my own younger brother. Fugaku and I even spoiled you far more than Itachi and Sasuke. Why did you still make this choice? Did you truly have to use such a cruel method to gain power?"

Uchiha Shadian said calmly, "Without absolute power, what happened today will happen again: the Uchiha Clan will suffer Konoha's merciless, horrific extermination. Therefore, power is absolutely necessary."

"Sister-in-law, Itachi is going mad with killing outside. Join me and stop him!"

Uchiha Mikoto glanced at Uchiha Shadian, then gently stroked Uchiha Sasuke in her arms. Neither joyful nor sorrowful, she said, "Run, Shadian. Itachi is an absolute genius. Even if you absorbed Fugaku's ocular power, you still cannot defeat him. Not to mention Root is outside, watching like tigers stalking their prey."

"Run far away from Konoha, and never come back."

"You came too late, Itachi." A cold voice sounded beside Itachi Uchiha's ear.

Itachi Uchiha snapped out of his shock and frowned at Uchiha Shadian. "Uncle, what exactly happened? Why are Father, Mother, and Sasuke all...?"

Itachi Uchiha had vaguely guessed the truth, but he could not stop himself from asking.

He could not believe that Uchiha Shadian, whom his parents had cherished so dearly, would personally kill the two people who had treated him best in the world.

Uchiha Shadian said calmly, "You had already resolved to kill them. I merely dealt with them in advance. Didn't that save you some effort?"

Hearing the truth from Uchiha Shadian's mouth, Itachi Uchiha staggered. "But... but why did Sasuke have to...?"

To Itachi Uchiha, who doted obsessively on his younger brother, Uchiha Sasuke was his entire world. Everything he had done was not only to preserve the Uchiha Clan's honor, but more importantly, to preserve Uchiha Sasuke's life and allow him to continue living in Konoha.

But now Uchiha Sasuke had been killed by Uchiha Shadian. Everything Itachi had done before had become meaningless.
