Professor McGonagall said sternly.

Darren noticed that Hermione was sitting ramrod straight, looking as though she was terrified of being expelled.

Professor McGonagall waved her wand, turning the lectern into a pig before changing it back again.

Darren noticed that everyone's eyes had lit up with excitement.

They clearly thought this kind of magic was incredibly cool.

After Darren and the other students had copied down a huge pile of notes, Professor McGonagall handed each of them a match.

The match magically turned into a needle, complete with a tiny eye.

"Perfect! Mr. Potter has done it already. Ten points to Slytherin!"

Professor McGonagall exclaimed, covering her mouth.

She turned to look at Harry and quietly frowned.

The boy's match had not changed at all.

She had even seen his messy, disorganized notes.

Truly a Gryffindor through and through!

Once again... criticizing the Sorting Hat's decision to place Darren in Slytherin.

The second class was Defense Against the Dark Arts.

It was the class many of them had been looking forward to most.
