Darren protected Becky, navigated Dumbledore and Snape’s questions, and arrived at Hogwarts hoping to watch over Harry. Sorted into Slytherin, he clashed with Malfoy and began to unsettle the House’s new routine.

• Darren shielded Becky from a hooded attacker’s Killing Curse, then used her payment to fund the Longbottoms’ care and received Voldemort’s bloodline from the system.
• Dumbledore questioned Darren under Veritaserum about his beliefs and his relationship with Harry, while Snape worried the brothers might become enemies.
