"Professor, about that Golurk..."
Professor Oak took Roy's request seriously, even if Roy was a little...
As Professor Oak pondered it, he glanced back at Roy. The sight of that eager smile suddenly made him want to kick the boy again. What was he supposed to do about that?
Roy might have been irritating, but he had genuinely helped him a great deal. Professor Oak would certainly do his best to secure this Golurk for him.
He said he would submit a request to Johto's research team. Whether it succeeded would depend on their decision.
Roy was utterly unconcerned. With Professor Oak speaking up for him, the odds of failure were practically zero.
Seeing Roy's attitude, Professor Oak tried to talk him out of it again.
"Are you sure you want this Golurk? Golurk are creations of super-ancient civilization technology. Researchers today don't even understand exactly how they were made, let alone how to repair them."
"Don't worry about that, Professor. Just hand him over to me, and I guarantee I'll bring him back to life."
"You?"
Professor Oak was about to accuse Roy of making wild boasts when he suddenly remembered what Agatha had told him about the mysterious power within Roy.
Could Roy really restore this Golurk to life?
Looking at Roy's confident expression, Professor Oak felt increasingly convinced that it was possible. It never occurred to him that Roy simply wanted to get Golurk out first and worry about repairing him later.
"All right. If Golurk really comes back to life, you must let me study him first."
Roy nodded vigorously in agreement. The important thing was getting Golurk out first.
After accompanying Professor Oak on another inspection, the two left the ruins and returned to the researchers' camp.
Soon, Johto's research team arrived at the camp
