Back when he comprehended the Life Origin, it was because he had failed to fully grasp the element of "Heaven-Earth Karmic Cause and Effect."
Later, Zhang Yang defined the "First Realm." Through the Authority of Heaven and Earth, he then distilled the element of the First Realm and successfully condensed the Life Origin.
Yet before he had distilled the "First Realm," he could only draw infinitely close to it, never obtain it.
Wasn't the current Limitless somewhat similar?

The Heaven-Earth Karmic Cause and Effect within the Life Origin was because it was encompassed by the First Realm.
