Night Owl Guard Mobilizes!
The three leaders were so sharp that even his Observation Haki couldn't capture their complete outlines—only killing intent, a cold and pure killing intent.
On the sea, more than thirty gray-white figures had approached to within sight.
Gecko fell on their shoulders, outlining the silhouettes of their uniforms and the Red-and-White Fan emblem on their collars.
No one shouted, no one used flags, and no one even quickened their pace; they simply approached in silence, as orderly as a gray-white city wall slowly pressing in.
Drox's palms were sweaty as he gripped the axe handle. His Observation Haki swept uncontrollably over every approaching presence, and the more he scanned, the heavier his heart sank.
There were more than thirty people, and each of them posed a danger to him no less than that of a pirate with a bounty of six or seven hundred million Beli.
He has only a handful of combat captains with bounties exceeding 500 million, while any one of the opposing team could easily rival his strongest subordinates.
This isn't a patrol team, this is the Uchiha's dagger, the deadly devil brought by those gray Nezumi he mocked at the docks for "running pretty fast".
His gaze was fixed on the middle-aged man at the head of the group.
The man walked at a leisurely pace, his arms hanging naturally at his sides, with a Tachi slung across his waist.
He didn't release any aura, and he hadn't even Sharingan yet, but Drox's Observation Haki started screaming wildly the moment it touched him.
He had felt that kind of oppressive feeling before—it was something he couldn't resist now.
Many years ago, he caught a glimpse of the leader of Big Mom Pirates's Three Sweet Commanders in the New World, the man who always wore a scarf and looked down on everything.
He hid in the cabin, barely daring to breathe, and led the fleet around for three whole days before daring to slip past the edge of Katakuri's territory.
That chill of impending death is exactly the same as it is now.
"Yonko Commander ..." Drox managed to squeeze out the two words, his voice dry as if he had swallowed a mouthful of coarse salt.
He guessed most of it correctly.
The one who arrived was Uchiha Kei, the captain of the Night Owl Guard, Mangekyō Sharingan user, Peak Kage Level fighter, whose strength was enough to suppress any opponent who was not at the Admiral-Emperor Level.
The two squads he brought, totaling thirty people, were all Kage Level, and they were the sharpest blade for the Uchiha Clan to move from "the entire clan being ninjas" to "the God Race".
All members of the Night Owl Guard are Kage Level fighters.
Drox didn't know the definition, but he knew something else—tonight, he had messed with the wrong person.
A few breaths later, Uchiha Kei, along with thirty Night Owl Guard, stopped on the sea in front of the dock.
No one landed, no one touched the piers or the charred fishing boats; they simply stood on the sea, their toes treading on the gently undulating waves, their greyish-white uniforms gleaming coldly in the Gecko, like a row of silent ghosts.
Drox stood on the ship's railing, still clutching the Sawtooth axe, which was bigger than a man, his knuckles already turning white.
He forced a smile, the curve of his lips both ingratiating and strained, as practiced as when he bowed and scraped to the Division Commander under the Four Emperors countless times in the New World: "My lord of the Uchiha Clan, it's a misunderstanding, all a misunderstanding—"
"Broken Axe, Drox, bounty 900 million Beli." Uchiha Kei's voice wasn't loud, but it was like an ice blade, cleanly severing all his pleasantries.
"I remember that when you entered the West Blue, the Earthly Chief Guard had already issued a notice—prohibiting any acts of plundering in the West Blue. Is that correct?"
Drox's smile froze on his face. "Resisting the Nightingale Guard's arrest, provoking the Uchiha Clan." Kei's tone was completely flat; he wasn't questioning, but simply reading a pre-stamped verdict.
"By order of Elder Uchiha Setsuna, the entire Broken Axe Pirates are to be captured and publicly executed—by a thousand cuts—at the port of Spirit Awakening Island."
The obsequious and reluctant expression on Drox's face shattered the moment the words "cut into a thousand pieces" were uttered.
He gripped the axe handle tightly, his eyes darkening as if they were dripping with venom. "Hey, hey, hey, stop joking. They're just a bunch of lowly commoners. You Uchiha Shin going to turn against me for a few unrelated trash? Don't think we're easy to mess with!"
Uchiha Kei did not answer him.
The Three Tomoe spun rapidly in his pupils, connecting, merging, and finally transforming into a pair of eerie and bewitching Mangekyo Sharingan.
Before Drox could even process what those eyes meant, he heard the other person utter two words in an extremely cold and calm voice—"Itsumade."
An indescribable feeling of weakness surged up from the depths of his body, as if something was crawling in his veins, biting at him from the bone marrow.
Blood began to seep from his mouth and nose without warning, first a few drops, then a thin line of blood, dripping down his chin onto the axe handle, and then flowing down the axe blade onto the deck.
Itsumade is a strange bird in ancient Japan legend that brings Plague and death.
Uchiha Kei's left eye controls Plague, and his right eye controls death. Anyone caught in his gaze will experience a rapid decline in their physical functions, as if they have contracted an incurable disease.
It's not difficult to get through it—as long as your body is strong enough that any illness can be swallowed up by yourself.
But Drox is clearly not in this category.
The physical breakdown was more immediate than any threat. Drox screamed almost instinctively, "Damn it! Fight them—"
But before the pirates behind him, who had just been awakened from their sleep, could raise their swords, they saw the thirty pairs of eyes in front of the dock simultaneously transform into scarlet Sharingan.
"Take them all." Uchiha Kei his gaze, his voice still unhurried, yet chilling enough to silence the entire dock. "These lowly scum must remember—there is only one God Race on this sea. All others are equal."
Thirty Night Owl Guard responded simultaneously, their greyish-white figures spreading out in the Gecko, landing among the docks, decks, walkways, and burning ruins.
Tonight there is no trial, only execution.
When the battle erupted on the dock, the numerical advantage of the Broken Axe Pirates was shattered in the very first encounter.
Before a pirate could even pull the trigger after raising his flintlock musket, the barrel was sliced in two by Tachi that slashed from the side.
The Night Owl Guard member, wielding his sword, didn't even sheath it; he merely tilted his head slightly, his crimson Three Tomoe meeting the gaze of another pirate attempting a sneak attack from behind.
The attacker's scimitar stopped in mid-air, his pupils suddenly dilated, and he collapsed to the ground as if his bones had been removed, foaming at the mouth and convulsing.
Genjutsu, the most basic Genjutsu, doesn't even require special Hand Seals; the power of Three Tomoe is enough to instantly render these pirates, who haven't even touched the threshold of Observation Haki, powerless.
The same scene was playing out simultaneously in every corner of the dock.
The Night Owl Guard members moved through the crowd, their speed not fast, but their precision terrifying.
