Carlos, Special Intelligence
The boy gazed silently at the crimson Sharingan flickering in Chunwu's eyes, remaining silent for several long seconds.
He seemed to be carefully discerning the good and evil in the people before him, gambling on a slim chance of survival in a desperate situation.
After struggling for a while, he trembled as he pulled a charred and curled fragment of a pirate flag from the inner layer of his coat.
The edges of the fragment were scorched and incomplete by the Blaze, but the central pattern remained clear and striking—a skull with horns and two bone clubs crossed and stacked, the unmistakable symbol of the Beasts Pirates.
"My name is Carlos." The boy's voice was dry and hoarse, with a tremor that had been suppressed for a long time. "My father was the intelligence Adjutant of the Beasts Pirates. He accidentally discovered a secret that could shake the entire ocean and was executed by Jack himself."
"Before he died, he stuffed this box into my hand and told me to run for my life and never go back to Onigashima."
He stared intently at the cloth bag in his arms, his eyes filled with bewilderment and heaviness. "I still don't know what's inside the box. But my father said it holds a truth that, once revealed, would be enough to overturn the current maritime order."
Chunwu and Rin exchanged a quick glance, a hint of shock flashing in each other's eyes.
"Walk."
Chunwu asked no further questions and made a decision immediately.
Rin quickly tore off her clean spare cloak and gently wrapped it around Carlos's thin, trembling body to protect him from the night wind and chill.
Chunwu bent down and steadily carried him on his back, gently securing him with a flexible sealing strip to prevent swaying when running or entering the water, thus protecting the still-shaken child to the greatest extent possible.
"The main road is Jack's search route; it's crowded and conspicuous, making it easy to run into him head-on," Chunwu, turning his head to warn him.
"We'll evacuate by water."
"That's what I think too."
Rin stepped forward, reached out and moved aside the pile of discarded wood and rusty debris in the corner, revealing a narrow, hidden water passage.
The outer side is the unique atoll currents of Coral Port, with secluded waterways rarely visited, making it an excellent evacuation route.
Without the slightest hesitation, the two bent down and quietly slid into the icy seawater.
The icy seawater instantly soaked through their Clan Uniform, sending chills down their spines as it clung to their skin. Yet, the two moved swiftly and steadily, without the slightest hesitation or panic.
Just as they submerged underwater and disappeared into the undercurrent, the wooden door of the storage room behind them was kicked down with a loud crash.
Jack stood in the empty corner, looking at the deserted room. His pent-up anger finally erupted, and his deafening roar echoed throughout the warehouse district, reverberating in the night with overwhelming ferocity.
But it was all too late.
The two Uchiha boys, carrying Carlos and the top-secret truth that could shake the Four Blues, followed the intricate coral currents and completely disappeared into the pitch-black night.
On the distant sea, moored sailboats waited quietly, their Gunbai flags fluttering in the wind.
Ahead lies a safe haven, a fleet ready to set sail, and a brand new New World belonging to this new generation.
Shipyard battle to the death, youthful spirit
The underground coral currents crisscross and intertwine beneath the warehouse, resembling a labyrinth.
Cool water droplets seeped continuously from the stone wall overhead, the soft dripping sound blending into the silent waterway, exceptionally clear.
Chunwu steadily supported Carlos's back, carefully protecting the boy's head from the water's surface, preventing even a drop of cold water from wetting his eyebrows and eyes.
The child in her arms was ridiculously light, the soaked cloak clung to the thin back, and she could clearly feel the prominent, bony shoulder blades, so frail that it seemed as if it would break at the slightest touch.
Rin led the way, and in the dark waterway, the Sharingan in her eyes gleamed with a faint, crimson light, illuminating the path for the two of them.
After swimming a few meters, she suddenly stopped paddling, her body frozen in the undercurrent, and turned back to warn him in a very low voice.
"At the end of the undercurrent lies an abandoned shipyard. From there, you can disembark and circle back to the back of the port. However, there are guards stationed near the shipyard; they are Jack's men."
"How many people?" Chunwu asked softly.
Rin closed his eyes for a moment, his Observation Haki subtly spreading out to detect all the movements on the shore. He then opened his eyes and replied, "Six people, all ordinary henchmen. Without any officers present, their combat strength is nothing to fear."
Chunwu quickly weighed the pros and cons in his mind.
This dock is the only shortcut for those wanting to return.
Knocking out a few people isn't difficult; the real challenge is doing it silently.
Although Jack's combat strength is brute force, his Ancient Zoan physique greatly enhances his hearing and sense of smell, allowing him to detect even the slightest abnormal movement instantly.
He looked up at Rin, his tone confident. "Can you use Genjutsu magic to control everyone at once, without leaving the slightest disturbance?"
Rin paused for a moment, then pondered, "To simultaneously imprison five or more people, it requires a three-second charging time."
I'll give you three seconds.
Without another word, the two silently crept to the edge of the dock, using the cover of the undercurrents in the waterway.
The dilapidated wooden dock lay exposed in the night, where six henchmen of the Beasts Pirates stood guard laxly, their posture relaxed.
Someone was leaning against a cargo box, yawning incessantly, their eyes still sleepy;
The remaining few people huddled around a pile of looted supplies, rummaging through them and picking out valuable items, completely without any sense of caution.
Rin took a deep breath, quickly Hand Seals with one hand. The Tomoe in her eyes suddenly spun rapidly, and a scarlet light flashed in the darkness.
After a full three seconds of silent gathering, the six pirates on the shore froze in place, their eyes vacant and unfocused, their bodies stiff, as if all their senses had been drained, completely trapped in the Genjutsu.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Chunwu lifted Carlos onto the dock and gently placed the soaking wet boy on a dry canvas.
Carlos had stopped trembling, but Chunwu knew in his heart that this was by no means a sign of improvement.
The extreme cold and fear had already frozen his thin body, leaving him with no strength left to even tremble.
He immediately took off his Clan Uniform coat, wrung out the seawater that had soaked through, and carefully draped it over the boy's thin shoulders. He then knelt down and softened his usual steady tone.
"Don't be afraid, we'll take care of the people outside, then we'll bring you back to the ship and give you a safe place to stay."
To settle down.
Two simple words, yet they precisely pierced through the boy's long-tense defenses.
Carlos's empty eyes suddenly welled up with tears. The grievances and fears that had been building up for days turned into hot tears, which rolled silently down his thin cheeks and splashed onto the canvas, leaving shallow watermarks.
His voice was hoarse and thin, filled with a bewildered hopelessness. "I... I still have a home to return to? My father is gone, I've had nowhere to go for a long time."
Chunwu gazed quietly at his disheveled and helpless appearance, remained silent for a moment, then gently placed his hand on the boy's head, his movement gentle yet incredibly firm.
"My name is Uchiha Chunwu."
"I'm taking you home. Not back to Onigashima, but back to our Uchiha home."
