Gravity Room Construction Complete

Cain had been preparing to build the Gravity Room since last year. Now, only the final step remained before construction could begin.

That final step was finding materials capable of bearing the Gravity Formation.

At first, Cain had struggled over whether to use Formula Magic or ordinary Gravity Magic.

Formula Magic meant defining a certain area and setting rules within that area.

In the original story, Fried of the Thunder God Tribe used this magic. During the civil war arc, he set up a formula that prevented anyone over seventy from leaving the guild.

The two people who met had to decide a winner before they could leave.

If he used Formula Magic to create the Gravity Room, he would need to add several conditions, such as the people in the room enduring five times gravity, ten times gravity, and so on.

But Cain ultimately chose Gravity Magic. The main reason was that Formula Magic consumed three times as many Magic Crystals as Gravity Magic, and it also required solving the problem of turning it on and off.

Cana, however, said disappointedly, "What? You're just building a Gravity Room?"

The three arrived at a lavishly decorated shop. Cain said to the receptionist, "My name is Cain. I made an appointment earlier."

After checking, the receptionist led Cain to a room. Its furnishings were simple: a machine resembling a pressure tester and a computer.

Cain placed the metal bar marked Number One beneath the pressure tester, then walked aside to watch the values on the computer.

The number on the screen kept rising until it stopped at eight hundred. Cain nodded after looking at it, then removed Number One and placed the metal bar marked Number Two inside.

Erza looked at Cain in confusion. "What are you doing?"

Cain explained, "I'm testing how much pressure these three materials can withstand. Number One is Tungsten Steel, Number Two is Sea Silver, and Number Three is Fine Steel."

Only then did Erza and Cana understand.

The results soon came out. Sea Silver could withstand the most pressure, while Fine Steel was the weakest.

Looking at the results, Cain could not help sighing. You got what you paid for. Sea Silver was the most expensive of the three materials, but fortunately, Cain could afford it with his current wealth.

After learning the results, the three returned to the guild together. Erza asked eagerly, "About how long will it take to finish the Gravity Room?"

Cain thought about it. "Around a month."

They only returned home at night. Once home, Cain first checked on the progress of the Gravity Room's construction.

Then he prepared the medicinal solution Erza needed to treat the hidden injuries left behind from before. Finally, he used magic to nourish Erza's eyes.

As the days passed, the Gravity Room neared completion, and Erza's health steadily improved.

Her scarlet hair shone as brilliantly as a ruby.

Compared with when they had first met, she was practically a different person.

That day, the renovations at home were finally complete. All that remained was for Cain to carve the Gravity Magic formation.

After completing the final stroke, Cain said with a smile, "All done."

He then signaled to Erza outside the glass that she could activate it. Erza immediately pressed the button in front of her and turned the dial to the number five.

As Erza flipped the switch, the Magic Crystals that had already been embedded immediately released their magic power.

The magic power flowed through the Gravity Formation Cain had carved. With a hum,

Cain felt a heavy pressure envelop him, and he knew the Gravity Room had succeeded.

He moved his limbs around and found that although he was not as agile as usual, he did not feel particularly sluggish either.

He then signaled for Erza to increase the gravity. When it reached fifteen times gravity, Cain's breathing grew heavy.

He knew that was the limit of what he could currently endure, so he signaled for Erza to stop.

When Cain walked out of the Gravity Room, Erza hurriedly asked, "How was it?"

Feeling much lighter all over, Cain did not answer directly. "Erza, try it yourself and you'll know."

"Mm, okay."

With that, she slipped into the Gravity Room. Once Cain saw that Erza was ready, he adjusted the gravity to five times.

As five times gravity descended upon her, Erza felt as though her entire body were being squeezed. It was extremely uncomfortable. Although she wanted to try ten times gravity,

she knew that five times gravity was already the limit of what she could currently endure.

She could only withstand five times gravity, while Cain could endure fifteen times. The gap between them really was enormous.
