Cain saw that Minerva had already hidden herself and stretched his body. Looking at the two-story-tall spider before him, he said with interest:
"I hope you won't disappoint me."
Though the giant demon spider could not understand what Cain was saying, it could understand the contemptuous look on his face.
As the overlord of this forest, it had never been looked down upon like this before. Rage rose from the depths of its heart.

With a roar, it raised its sharp, spear-like foreleg and stabbed it toward Cain.
Cain showed no sign of panic as he watched the enraged spider attack.
From afar, Minerva watched the sharp leg pierce toward Cain. Seeing that he did not move at all, her heart leaped into her throat.

Massive cracks spread in every direction, resembling an enormous spiderweb when viewed from above.
The spider was very satisfied with its attack. That human had surely been crushed into meat paste.

Something shattered.
Then, a loud bang rang through the forest.
It was accompanied by the spider's agonized shriek.
Minerva looked closely and found Cain standing there completely unharmed. Only then did her raised heart finally settle.
Then she saw that the foreleg that had attacked Cain had been smashed apart, which was why the spider was shrieking in pain.
However, this was not the end. It was only the beginning.
Cain became a streak of light, circling around the spider.
