Background / History

Qian Renxue, Spirit Hall’s Young Mistress, entered the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace under the identity of Xue Qinghe at age nine. Her twenty-year infiltration was intended to secure the empire for Spirit Hall’s continental unification project. 22 29

The original coup collapsed under Tang San’s intervention, placing Spirit Hall’s forces under heavy pressure. Qian Sha Yu then took control of Qian Renxue’s body as the Demon King Guard, reversed the battle, and massacred the remaining Heaven Dou troops after Tang San’s group withdrew. 4 7

Following the victory, Qian Sha Yu declared that the Heaven Dou Empire would henceforth be called Spirit Hall. She Long and Ci Xue led Spirit Hall personnel in the subsequent blood-washing of Heaven Dou City, capture of royal-family members, and elimination of remaining resistance. 7 9

Qian Renxue later imposed martial law, purged Xue Ye’s remaining supporters, and placed the city’s defenses under Spirit Hall’s elite troops. By the time resistance in the city ended, Spirit Hall controlled the gates, palace, government, and surviving officials. 25 29

Spirit Hall’s imprisonment of Tang Yuehua was used to draw the Clear Sky Sect into a rescue attempt. Tang Hao, Tang Xiao, and three Clear Sky elders subsequently assaulted the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace; Qian Sha Yu, Light Feather Douluo, Jiang Mo Douluo, She Long, Ci Xue, and other Spirit Hall forces defeated the incursion. Tang Xiao and the Second, Third, and Seventh Elders were killed, Tang Hao escaped heavily injured, and Tang Yuehua died during the battle. 59 60 67 71

The attack voided the old non-aggression agreement between Qian Daoliu and Tang Chen, prompting the Worship Hall to prepare for open retaliation against the Clear Sky Sect. 71 76 77

Occupation of Heaven Dou

• Military suppression — Qian Sha Yu personally slaughtered large numbers of Heaven Dou Imperial Guards, while Spirit Hall’s elite Soul Masters and cavalry secured the city. 7 13
• Public executions — Spirit Hall announced the public execution of Emperor Xue Ye, Prince Xue Xing, Princess Xue Ke, and other captives; Xue Ye was subsequently beheaded. 12 13 21

Organization

Internal Conflict

The Papal Hall attempted to confiscate the Heaven Dou Imperial Seal and transfer the city’s military and government to its own elder delegation. Qian Sha Yu rejected the order while controlling Qian Renxue’s body, turning the dispute into an open battle. 31 32

Gui Mei was killed in the conflict, while Yue Guan, Demon Bear Douluo, and Ghost Leopard Douluo returned to Spirit City injured. The incident exposed the hostility between the Papal Hall and the Worship Hall-aligned forces around Qian Renxue. 33 41

Yue Guan later pursued Qian Sha Yu to avenge Gui Mei and was killed outside Spirit City. Golden Crocodile Douluo ordered witnesses silenced, while Qian Daoliu’s protection of Qian Renxue left the Papal Hall unable to obtain redress. 55 56 76

Bibi Dong interpreted the Worship Hall’s tolerance of Yue Guan’s death as a deliberate affront to her authority. Nevertheless, Qian Daoliu avoided a direct confrontation after sensing the dark divine aura connected to Bibi Dong’s Rakshasa God Trial, judging that an internal civil war would endanger Spirit Hall. 76 77
