"Kill him!"
At Yang Mu's command, the newly revived Werewolf Ghoul turned into an afterimage and appeared directly behind the Vampire. With a ripping sound, its claws scraped across the armor.
Amid a shower of sparks, it tore open the Vampire's armor and left massive wounds across his flesh.
Terrifying wolf venom seeped into the Vampire's body, drawing a pained scream from him. But in order to survive, the Vampire took out a silver sphere and threw it before the Werewolf Ghoul.
With an explosion, countless silver fragments tore through the Werewolf Ghoul's fur and embedded themselves in the surface of its muscles. At the same time, a silver sword pierced its abdomen.
Just as the Vampire revealed a vicious smile, the sound of something cutting through the air rang out again. A massive claw slapped him across the face, sending half his head flying.
The Vampire's body was sent flying like a tattered sack as well. The wolf venom suppressed his regenerative ability, leaving him unable to recover as he lay on the ground, barely breathing.
Yang Mu walked up to him. Black flames enveloped him and burned him to ashes.
"0.18. Not bad, though a little weaker than Allen."
After consecutively burning Allen's soul and that unknown Vampire, Yang Mu's Mental Power had reached 2.68.
Sure enough, burning extraordinary creatures was far more effective than burning ordinary people.
Vampires had no souls. Once they died, they turned into a pile of ashes. Yang Mu was not sure whether the Vampires in this world were the same, but he had still told Allen to hold back. Otherwise, that first claw would have gone for the head, and this fellow would already have been dead.
Vampires were undead creatures to begin with. Yang Mu had no time to waste subduing one. With his current Mental Power, it would take quite a while. Instead of spending that time, he might as well burn more Werewolves and Vampires near the castle.
After killing that Vampire, Yang Mu led his undead toward the castle.
At that moment, Werewolves and Vampires were fighting both inside and outside the castle. In the sky, a winged eyeball watched everything happening below.
This was a Rank 0 Trick, Mage's Eye, which could help a Mage observe the situation within a certain range.
Mage's Eye flew into the castle. This was the main battlefield. Viscount William and the white-haired old Viscount who had killed the maid were both inside, their bodies clearly much larger than those of the other Werewolves.
As their claws swung, the gusts they created were like blades, slicing apart the furniture before them and leaving huge claw marks on the walls.
"Blood Shield!"
The Vampires fighting them were not ordinary Vampires either. Judging by a Vampire's strength and the purity of his bloodline, they were also Viscount Rank Vampires. However, Viscount William's title had been bestowed by the Hiliya Federation.
A Vampire's so-called Viscount title merely represented that his bloodline was purer than that of other Vampires. Naturally, that also meant greater strength.
The Blood Shield blocked Viscount William's claws, but the silver sword in the Vampire's hand was also knocked aside by Viscount William's claws.
Both sides moved extremely fast, yet neither managed to inflict a fatal injury on the other. The wolf venom on Viscount William's body posed a deadly threat to Vampires, but the silver weapons in the Vampires' hands were equally deadly to Werewolves.
Both sides were wary of each other, searching for an opportunity to deliver a fatal blow.
Yang Mu estimated the strength of these Viscount Rank Werewolves and Vampires to be roughly at the level of Advanced Apprentices, while his own Mental Power was only at the level of a Junior Apprentice.
Even with his knowledge and experience, he could at most display the strength of an Advanced Apprentice, making him evenly matched with those inside. Yet there was more than one Viscount Rank Vampire or Werewolf within.
So he wisely gave up on joining the battle inside and turned his attention outside the castle. Before long, he noticed a Werewolf.
After transforming into Werewolves, ordinary people could no longer tell them apart unless they identified them by their clothes.
But Yang Mu was obviously no ordinary person. With a single glance at the other party's skeletal structure, he could tell what kind of skeleton it had transformed from. Combined with her clothing, he immediately recognized her as the William Family's third young lady, William Lossia.
When Yang Mu emerged from the darkness amid flashing lightning with a Werewolf Ghoul, two Armed Skeletons, and twenty Walking Corpses in tow.
Both sides fighting in the rainy night showed wary expressions. When they saw the tattered burlap slave clothes on Yang Mu, both sides looked astonished.
Why would such a powerful black Wizard be a slave? As many continued fighting, they occasionally glanced toward the William Family's Werewolves. Clearly, this black Wizard had not come to help them.
"Shadow Chains!"
Yang Mu proved their guess with action. Loxia, who was in the midst of battle, suddenly felt her limbs being bound. Looking down, she discovered black chains around her hands and feet, connected to the shadow beneath her feet.
Not far away, many Black Shadows rushed toward her. Following them, she saw Yang Mu.
"It's you! Roar!"
An angry, low roar rang out, utterly lacking the crispness of her human voice and sounding exceedingly unpleasant.
Loxia's limbs were bound, but the Vampire fighting in front of her was not. The Vampire was just about to plunge her sword into Loxia's heart.
Whoosh. A stone flew over and knocked the female Vampire away.
"Second Sister!" Hope appeared on Loxia's face as she watched her second sister throw the stone and rapidly charge toward her.
"Watch out!" William and Lilia's low voices rang out. Although Loxia was bound, she was not completely unable to move. She ducked, narrowly evading a swing from Allen, the Werewolf Ghoul.
The gale raised by the massive arm sent Loxia's fur dancing. Her pupils contracted as she struggled even harder. She understood that if Allen caught her, a single strike could cripple her.
As she struggled violently, the Shadow Chains around her limbs gave off cracking sounds, and fractures appeared along them.
But before she could exert herself a second time, Allen's claws had already swept across her neck. Blood erupted at once, like water bursting from a punctured bag.
"No!"
Lilia, who was rushing over, let out a shrill wail and tried to pounce forward, only to be sent flying the next moment by a massive tentacle that emerged from underground.
The mucus on the tentacle continuously corroded Lilia's fur and skin.
Apprentice Rank spell, Corrupting Touch.
A ball of black flame flew from Yang Mu's fingertips and landed on the not-yet-dead Loxia. The instant it touched her, it flared violently, enveloping her entire body in black flames.
Amid her curses and wails, it burned her to ashes.
Yang Mu did not care at all about Loxia's insults. In his eyes, whether Vampire or Werewolf, everyone present was nothing more than fuel for increasing his strength.
